These thoroughbred horses look magnificent as they train in the mornings to race at Keeneland Race Track in Lexington, KY. Thoroughbreds are the fastest horses on the planet for racing between about a half mile to 1-1/2 miles.

They come off in the "wrong direction" to train them to not stop running before the finish. Typically they will "gallop out" through the turn and come back closer to the grandstand side to come off. This helps with incoming traffic onto the track and keeping working horses safe
