Matt Reeves needs his props. This guy knows how to write

This is how you tell a story! Every single scene has a purpose, developing the characters and moving the plot forward.

It's refreshing to just get a show that's well written and everyone is giving such a great performance that you actually feel like your watching real people. Very rare for comic book characters! I'd like to see the industry take some lessons from this show. 💯

I think the Batman film was too long, there were many great elements as you have said but there were also parts where it dragged and was boring. This sounds really good though, kinda like how that Gotham show started out but better.

Its a detective movie, i feel span attention of people has slow. Of course not saying the batman is perfect but to introduce a whole new stand alone universe it was good, to much generic movies of super heroes at the time it was out (there still is)
@Lilac-and-Gooseberries3 күн бұрын
@@richardcastillos2896 Yeah at least it was different to a lot of recent hero movies, I just think it could have been told in less time.

a show that no one asked for, wanted or even planned on watching. Upon watching everyone's minds are blown. I'll take it. Pennyworth fits this as well.

The third act of The Batman is redeemed by how it is incorporated into The Penguin. I love the music for The Batman as well.

I don’t think Batman should be in this but a shot of the bat signal at night could be enough

That or a name drop would be enough.

I hope the new DC universe is based in this. (Although I don't watch it, I don't like the DC for some reason, I wish the best for the fans.)

Great acting all around. Michael Zegen (Alberto Falcone) was in the very different show Mrs. Maizel and I was like "Oh, he's in this show!" And then, well...

@Thor Skywalker you should give Warhammer 40k series a second chance because I've been asking and you haven't responded back so are you interested in recommending Warhammer 40k at least. I hope you respond back.

When I heard you guys say “Maroni,” my brain instantly went to Johnny Dangerously’s Roman Mononie, brutal killer of the English language.

Doesn't make sense that she just believes it's the Maronis when Oz could definitely be in bed with him now that he killed Alberto Falcone, Sophia Falcone's brother

I really like The Batman. I couldn’t stand the Nolan movies and the less said about Zack Snyder the better, so it was refreshing to see good Batman again

I don't think a Batman cameo would be a great idea in this series, but I do think it would be cool to see a Bruce Wayne cameo...just rubbing elbows with other elites where Penguin is present maybe. But only if it makes sense to the story, because beyond something like that, I don't think it would fit in this particular type of series. Definitely agree that it's been some great writing and acting right out of the gate.

Very good. Wish this team worked on an SW universe outline so we had a real vision. KK will sort it, she's had 10 years to get to grips with things so shouldn't be too long now to get a grand vision of one of the greatest IP's of all time.

I like the idea we have a story about a character before we know the in universe fate.

I was, for lack of a better term, 'gobsmacked'. I waited on "The Batman" as I'd burned out a bit on the whole 'supes' thing, so I watched that and then The Penguin back to back and holy crapsticks Batman! that was some of the best television I've seen since the throne room walking scene in house of the dragon. Brilliant stuff and oh by the by, more reviews you two!

I haven't seen this show, but it really sounds like _Andor_ from the very well-executed, serious production centered around a lesser character, about whom people wouldn't expect and didn't demand an entire series. Hope its great quality continues. Plus, from what I've heard, its showrunner and pilot's writer is a woman (Lauren LeFranc). I normally wouldn't want to highlight such a trait of a creator but am only doing so to point out that good writing from anyone can be appreciated, and shooting for quality instead of some sociopolitical agenda of representation is the way to go. Generally speaking, people weren't complaining about the representation of ethnic minorities among the cast of _Andor,_ and they weren't criticizing its portrayal of a gay relationship, either.
