Sweet story... I didn't see the write up at the end of the story. My dad went to the initial invasion into Iraq in 2003 and was put in for a Bronze Star with V. It got down graded to an Arcom with V but he ended up getting the Bronze Star on a later deployment. Thanks for sharing this cause my Pops still hasnt told us his story. The Soldier that was with my Dad did receive a Bronze Star with Valor but passed away recently in his home. My Dad didn't talk for a few days. Its all very real and soooo crazy. Stay safe
