I think the colors and shading in these films really gives them a more theatrical film-esque look and feel, more so than the Chipmunk Adventure. Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman could pretty much be considered the Alvin and the Chipmunks series finale, and I think it gives the show a very fitting conclusion...

The Frankenstein one was my favorite of the two movies. The boys' relationship with the Monster (whom they called Frankie) was charming, adorable and even believable. In almost every story featuring an incarnation of Frankenstein's Monster; while most adults seem to want him dead, it's the children who actually take the time to get to know the creature (ex. Maria in the first Frankenstein film.) It's nice that the younger generation doesn't follow the same silly fears teens and adults have

In general, the only annoying thing in the modern show is Alvinnn being a bit too much of a jerk specially with Theo, and Theo being most of the show a bit too much of a kiddy (except the last season were he put Alvin on his site 1 or 2 times). Also the chapters with the school bully were too repetitive, that guy never improved a bit his attitude (or he improved one episode, to forget all of it in the next one). The rest of the show were mostly random adventures as how they used to do in the 80s, but about new topics. Personally, to me the best episodes with the best chapter songs were the ones starring the chipettes, or the ones with them and the chipmunks. The last season had the best episodes with Eleanor as protagonist. Also, Sandra Berez (leader cartoonist of the chipettes in the classic show and first movie, rip) left some designs of Alvinnn's Brittany in the classic animation style. Seeing it I know nickelodeon chips would look good in a classic style animation project.

I know what do you mean, heh. As kid, it was the first movie the one who got me hooked to the show. Before that, I had little to none interest in the show, as I only picked minutes of random episodes (interesting enough the ones without the chipettes) at TV before going to do something else. Since at the time was more into mecha and super stuff, it was like "meh, nothing interesting to watch" (tm). But then I was brought to watch the movie at theater with my sisters kek... And well, I got amused by the chipettes to say the least. Ironically my sisters didn't liked it that much, but I enjoyed the movie and its music non stop... But then I found myself in the dilemma I couldn't honestly say what was the main thing I liked about that movie (were the chipettes, the chipettes man). In the end, you found that kid myself awaiting every episode at TV, movies and specials starring the chipettes. And ofc, I got myself in love with music in general. Yeh, the chips made me love music kek.

I don't know why, it just really spoke to me on all accounts. I even genuinely fandubbed a bit of the beginning of the movie into swedish. I didn't have anything to pitch up my voice with so I just talked as deeply and slowly as possible while still keeping up the acting and timing and then speed up the audio and it turned out surprisingly well lol (I also did a swedish parody dub with my best friend at the time and it's as sophisticated and well written as you'd expect from a couple of 13yr olds who think sex is the most hilarious thing in the world)

It is strange the amount Alvin and the Chipmunks played into my childhood. I've somehow seen all these movies, and a few of the older episodes. I honestly probably never would have thought to much about them again if it wasn't for this channel. Edit: imma write that musicality stuff down. I notice it in a ton of stuff I watch and never knew it had a word.

Ooooo the nostalgia hit me hard with this one. I actually started singing along with the ending song from Wolfman. It's been at least 20 years since I've seen it. This video was well timed. Also, I'm pretty sure I had a crush on this version of Dave.

I’d have to say the Wolfman chipmunks movie was my favorite. It had that eerie vibe down similar to like a Scooby-Doo movie with some adult undertones. Great vid!👏🏾

I've watched and enjoyed both these movies and I can say with complete confidence that the wolfman actually spooked me as a kid. The one with Frankenstein's monster was just enjoyable.
