As a passionate, dedicated, long time member of the AATC fandom (over ten years!), I can say for certain that each and every one of us is absolutely thrilled to see someone so passionate about our beloved film. TCA is so precious to us that we dedicate the entire month of May to celebrating it (it was released on May 22nd 1987!) It's very rare to see people outside the fandom talking about TCA at all aside from a casual "oh, I remember that!". You're right, the AATC franchise is often ridiculed and treated like a joke, and so is its fandom. So for something like this to pop up in our searches, it makes our entire week. I was certainly smiling throughout this entire video. Thank you for this. Thank you for treating the AATC franchise (and its fans) with the dignity and respect it deserves. I didn't know about this movie until now but damn it's beautiful. Like the scene in the beginning where Theodor talks about feeling guilty about tricking miss miller is insane! Not just accurate lip sync but the expression and timing is soooooo tasty.

To this day my mom and I still joke about the "David are you drunk?" line. I wore out my VHS copy and noticed on the DVD 5.0 audio lines are missing such as Brittany saying "Dream on Tiny Tim" to the prince. Switch to the 2.0 audio and that line is there! The "My Mother" song is beautiful and sad. My DVD came with the soundtrack and these songs are great!

Yesss, I feel like people don’t talk about this movie enough! It was one of my favorites growing up. I love the sense of adventure that it gives me. All of the songs live in my head rent free. This was my first exposure to Chipmunks, and it's still my favorite next to the Werewolf movie. I still have the VHS. The amount of times I rewound the tape to that Boys/Girls of Rock n Roll song just to hear it again. Ah! Sweet Chritsmas

Definitely a classic film, underrated at its finest. Not only the animation so fluid and on point, the movements of frame by frame is outstanding especially when the chipettes and the chipmunks runs towards the main setting when the girls and boys of rock n roll starts is well done, nothing was off or inconsistent. This is a beautifully animated gem, and Dan Hatchett always been a favorite artist of mine, I was amazed he worked on this film too. This movie lays a special place for my childhood, I'd so mimic the dances, and sing loud and vivid in my bedroom replaying the songs back to back lol drove my parents crazy. I'm glad my grandparents got this for me on my 6th birthday xD in 1999 I was literally obsessed with this movie growing up, it was that dope, and well written...This and Wolfman were classics man.

This movie rules and the animation is definitely one huge reason why. It's interesting how the character design upgrades carried through into the show for its final 3 (?) seasons. You suddenly have this switch from this kinda early-80s do-over of the '61 designs to this much sleeker Disney-ish style with bigger eyes and more expressive faces. Dave gets a further do-over which softens his overall look. What gets me about it is that the intro didn't get updated for quite a while afterwards and it took me forever to realise why it looked so jarring.

I loved this movie as a kid. I remember renting it quite a number of times from the local video stores back in the mid to late 90's. While not perfect, and while a little awkward looking back at the Chimpertes Harem outfits for well reasons we can't have nice things on the internet, I still like this move and haven't seen it it years but I should. It's not perfect but it's a fun film and a great one for kids at.

The thing about the guys showin their badges, I think was intentional, not just from a movie standpoint to have the reveal, but if they were with Interpol, the last thing you want to do is showing your badge around when the name of the game is "we need to get definitive dirt on these people." They dont know who is working for the bad guys, so if they start showing their badges it could ruin the entire operation.

WOOOH! Someone is talking about this forgotten classic! I loved Alvin and Chipmunks when I was small and this movie was one of my favorites from the franchise. I remember finding a DVD of it a few years ago and decided to watch it for nostalgia sake. Yes, it does have a lot of inappropriate stuff that wouldn't fly today, but overall, it's still amazing. The story was fun (and crazy), the characters were loveable, and the animation and music were beautiful. I need to re-watch this again and appreciate it some more. A great look at a great animated movie! I do have a lot of nostalgia for this one. The music and animation are great and worthy of revisiting. We introduced this to our kids a few years back (part of our Thanksgiving tradition is watching movies from our childhood with them). And we’ll still turn it on every so often. Actually, this film was made and occurred between the fourth and fifth seasons. I believe the girls were still living in their treehouse at that time and "Help Wanted: Mommy" was in the fifth season.
