Yep, definitely! I'm at a similar place. I have no clue what I want with my life and it feels like I am since trying to find the "real" me. Currently just trying to do more of the things that make me happy and take it one step at a time. But that is definitely easier said than done

In 37 and I’m still not sure what I want in life. Maybe it’s because I only figured out I was trans and ace a few years ago so it’s like I’m just starting out as this person who finally actually knows something about who they are. I’m also disabled so I have to figure it out divorced from work, which seems to be how a lot of people define themselves. I started writing poetry and the more I write the more I find I’m building my own voice. It’s almost like discovering myself through the creative process, seeing the poems that I think are the best compared to what other people think. Maybe the only way to figure out what we want is to try things and see what resonates then build from there. I think these feelings are a lot more common that people would like to admit.

No one intrinsically knows what they want in life. And most people don't figure it out. We're all just bumbling through it trying to make choices that won't make tomorrow harder and that might help others. I worry a lot about not being a good adult. That I'm not doing it right. But I talked to my dad in his fifties and my grandmother in her seventies about the same thing, and neither of them know what they're doing either. There's no such thing as someone who's got it figured out.
