Prisoners have begun arriving at El Salvador's new Terrorism Confinement Centre, thought to be the largest megaprison in the Americas, in the latest step in a controversial crackdown on crime that has caused the prison population to soar.
Photographs show police officers in riot gear guarding the arrival of inmates belonging to the MS-13 and 18 gangs to the sprawling prison in Tecoluca, 50 miles southeast of San Salvador, on Friday.
Prisoners are seen stripping down to white shorts, with their heads shaved, running through the new prison into cells. Many bear gang tattoos.
The facility will eventually hold many of the more than 62,000 people authorities have arrested since the government suspended some constitutional rights and pushed an all-out offensive against the gangs last March.

Yup, they have the vivid video of these bunk heads planning shootings, begging for money for their dead "homies", 18th street v. MS-13, living like animals and just taking from the community. Did anybody see it? The girl who lost her eye from a shooting, then gets fit for a glass eye probably by some NGO and then winds up getting herself killed. It's pathetic. Coroner said the homicide rate went to half that before these new measures were taken. It's simple, put them in a factory to make things real poor people of the state need or any other needs or put them in the box. Too bad el Salvador doesn't have the money to make an ADX like the U.S.

It would be hard to do, with the US leaving their border open, because all the cartel thugs would run immediately for the border hoping to get asylum in the US. It would have to get a cooperative effort between the Mexico, the US, and the countries neighboring Mexico, because these cartels are international crime organizations. As it stands, with the current Biden administration, doing the same thing that El Salvador is doing would be unsuccessful in Mexico.

As someone who voted for Bernie and a leftist. Also from a horrible experience of my ex who was a psycho and a criminal. I have become more conservative when it comes to dealing with crime and on owning a gun. I still believe in Medicare for all, better wages, tuition free education as a working class person who struggles financially. That said, I’m realizing that some people just never change. Lately I believe that we do need tougher laws against these monsters and being all cumballa attitude will only make things worse. Look at Chicago and CA. In 100 years from now when humanity has evolved. Then we could have a more like utopian approach. For now we need law and order! This year I might be voting for Trump if we get sleepy Joe again. For the first time in my life I might be voting Republican.
