Changing original certificate information is problematic in so many ways. eg. This will make it difficult for car insurance companies to set premiums. In Australia Women generally get a cheaper premium rate than men because male and female driving habits are different.

We are heading for genetic sex testing. What should be recorded at birth is whether you are XX or XY. Since whether you are either XX or XY and that cannot be changed n o matter what, this is the information that should appear on all your records.

Not to be pedantic, but I think this is actually really important bc it is a confusion that TRAs will often take the opportunity to exploit: while the normal karyotype for human males and females is XY or XX, respectively, sex determination in humans really comes down to the *absence* or *presence* of a Y/functional SrY. For example: a woman with an X0 karyotype (a chromosomal abnormality known as Turner's Syndrome) is still very much female-- despite lacking a second X, she still does not possess a Y/SrY, thus she has still gone down the female developmental pathway. Likewise, a man with an XXY karyotype (a chromosomal abnormality known as Klinefelter's Syndrome) is still very much a male-- despite the second X, he still possesses a Y/SrY, and thus his body has gone down the male developmental pathway. Moreover, chromosomes are just the way in sex is *determined* in our particular species (and many others), but it is not how reproductive sex is *defined* : foundationally, reproductive sex-- whether we are male or female-- is down to whether our bodies are structurally and functionally organized around the production of sperm or ova; the absence or presence of a Y/SrY in one's genotype is simply what determines the development of that organization in utero, and continuing into puberty. Again, I say this with all due respect and not to be pedantic: I think straightening up this point, and better grounding a coherent understanding of reproductive sex, is the best defence against this "well, what about such and such chromosomal abnormality?!" that TRAs love to throw out whenever anyone attempts to define reproductive sex as XX or XY.

The legal system originated from the RC church, and in their mind their God created everything. So in the weird world of legalese why would the Vatican make itself a tax free sovereign state? . Gender Gender is a social construct that refers to the characteristics, behaviors, and expectations associated with being a woman, man, girl, or boy.
