The Shinsengumi (Police force) is a hybrid Traditional/modern unit, where it perform well in both melee and range. While only being slightly being better than normal line infantry in range... main strengths of the Shinsengumi is being able to hold its ground in melee. The banzai ability makes it able to go on par against Katana units. However, due to lack of armour stats, they can't be relied on full melee fights alone.

Man Shogun 2, IMO, was the last great historical Total War game that Creative Assembly made! The amount of polish that went into this is just amazing! Little details like blood spatter on the screen for example really make it an immersive experience!

These Shogun 2 Battles are awesome! Shogun 2 is definitely a great Total War game, one of the best. Would love to see Medieval 2 battles, maybe even a campaign :)

I feel like the losing side got carried away pursuing in a disorderly manner. They let their units get picked off peicemeal rather than forming up again after taking the hill. It reminded me of William I winning Hastings with his fained rout, although obviously there was nothing fake about how both sides wanted to win that hill in this case

The reason why red lost as they had many troops grouped up in 1 spot, they could have used the many cav to push into the village followed by a few infantry since they had too many at the hill, also they did not use the right side to flank the guns. The blue team held back and spaced their troops, which is an advantage for guns and a disadvantage for infantry.

Hey Pixy do you remember the Battle of Gawthlo (Third age Total War Reforged)? Because in that battle u had mentioned that the City of Gwathlo is new.. But to bring to your notice, the city was actually Dol Amroth. With a tinge of modification outside thee walls..... It was funny to hear u telling the map was new when I watched the Siege of Dol Amroth and the Battle of Gawthlo consecutively and in the mentioned order respectively..LOL🤣 I hope you reply something!

Of course. When the battle starts you need to identify who's the friend and the enemy. The snail looking things are called Horo. They are tiny "parachutes" that can effectively absorb or stop arrows.
