Can people who cheat stop calling it a fucking "mistake"? A mistake is a typo in an email, a mistake is mixing up which customer had no ice in their drink, cheating is a deliberate action.

I mean while you could call it a mistake it's definitely an intentional one, and you can't "mistake" your way out of responsibility and consequences
@WiseWordsbyWikiАй бұрын
I think the only time I've heard cheating being like a legitimate mistake, was this second hand story I heard. Basically a bunch of friends went out camping and got drunk and one of the guys went to his tent and had sex with his girlfriend except when he woke up. Not his tent, not his girlfriend. And in that case it was like a legitimate mistake because you thought you were sleeping with someone else. I don't know what the other girl was doing cuz I don't remember the details. Though in cases of drunken cheating, I'm always a bit iffy with some of the drunken cheating stories I hear. Sometimes the way the "cheating" partner describes it, It doesn't sound like they made any decision because they weren't capable of it. And at that point I'm like you might need to go to the police.
@jonlangthorne7924Ай бұрын
I don’t think you’re comparing apples to apples here. A deliberate action can still be a mistake, any action from poor judgement or wrongdoing is the definition of a mistake. A person can make a stupid decision like cheating and still understand that they made a mistake. The difference from your examples are that the consequences for that action are rightfully significant and severe.

@MegaKhelditiaАй бұрын
While I think they'd still be Irish twins (or fraternal, idk), I think the story references a patient with 2 uteri, which is phenomenally rare, but often found when someone may have to have the younger pregnancy induced when the older pregnancy comes to term. Others might at a sonogram. Pregnancy, itself, is wild.
@carolbaker2773Ай бұрын
Hormones are weird. The other ovary could have released an egg that got fertilized later. This is why calendar birth control is just a bad idea if you don’t want 7 kids
@RainbowFlowerCrowАй бұрын
@@MegaKhelditiaThere was also a case of a woman who has chimerism, which means that she has 2 sets of DNA; she had to prove in court that her children were hers! I can't imagine giving birth to, and raising my children and then having to *prove* that I'm really their mother!
@cats1970Ай бұрын
Irish twins are two pregnancies back to back making the kids ~1 year apart. Eva described superfecundation. That's where two eggs spawn in the same cycle and get fertilized at different times. Sometimes there's two fathers. One pregnancy starts days or weeks earlier than the other. When the first birth starts, it can cause both babies to come out. Which can make one baby fullterm and one early. Other times the mother has to give birth twice in a few weeks. They can also be apart months and that's called superfetation. In those cases the younger one is premature or doesn't make it.

What that last story, it’s not just that he said something to hurt her, he said it intentionally to take her confidence down a peg, then love bombed after. That is the exact behavior of a narcissist. Fun fact! Those “twins” are a really rare phenomenon called heteropaternal superfecundation and it happens when a second ova is released during a menstrual cycle and fertilised by a different individual’s sperm. Although the babies are born at the same time. We can’t actually know how rare it is either because we can only find out when paternity is contested
@tonygluk1Ай бұрын
I believe the craziest part is not heteropaternity but superfecundation itself, meaning two separate ova fertilized by two separate sexual acts, which doesn't even require cheating. So we have actually no way of knowing how prevalent this is because it just looks like regular twins being born.

9:23 Here's some juicy family drama for you as anecdotal evidence that Eva is spot on. My grandparents were born in the late 40s - early 50s. At 17 my grandma was convinced by a friend to go with her for a blind date, which is where she met my grandpa. My grandma had never dated anyone before because she wasn't allowed to date. They got married within a year and my grandma graduated high school married. Eventually, my grandpa went to fight in Vietnam which led to alcoholism when he returned to civilian life. My grandma got bored or lonely or whatever and started having affairs... Including with her teenage daughter's boyfriend. To this day, my grandpa only knows about 1 of her affairs... and she only told him because the condom broke. They got divorced and remarried within 6 months and are still together, although it's up for debate if they're just together out of familiarity and convenience.

26:00 What if he knows he's physically fairly attractive, but he's so self conscious about his personality that it cancels it out?

Idk if this is universal but at least some hospitals have RFID bracelets so if babies get switched or kidnapped the doors lock and alarms go off (they have to be within a certain distance of their parent)

The lady in the first one is just a terrible person, if you are going to cheat on someone just break up with them don’t cheat on them.

Saying "cannot" instead of can't is also used for emphasis, to stress it like "I CANNOT", I do it all the time, so don't go analyzing people's speech alone to "prove" that they're lying or not.

My brief stint working at an ice cream shop was constant stress because I swear to God, 99 percent of children IMMEDIATELY dropped their ice cream on the floor and had to have it remade while they stood there wailing, the rest of the ever-lengthening line stood there getting hot, hangry, and impatient, and the floor just kept getting stickier. I don't think we ever made any money on kids' ice cream, because we basically served two portions for every one that was paid for. Parents, in the name of all that's holy, either carry the ice cream to a table and then give it to your kids, or teach them how to hold on to things. I don't know, practice at home with a squeaky toy or something.

Legit found out my grand father was adopted by his parents because my sister signed up for ancestry. She was so excited to tell my mother the news and my mom just straight out told her he was adopted so nothing she learned was true.

About the testing of the baby, I think it could become procedure to test the baby for both paternity and maternity at the moment the baby and parents are on their way out of the hospital, that way if there were any mishaps while they were at the hospital and the baby was switched (most likely unintentionally, but it could happen), it can be fixed asap. And it also has the upside of exposing if the mother had an affair so that the man doesn’t have to raise someone else's baby if they don't want to.

I used to work at my home town Liquor Store ALONE, for like 6 hours. I mostly closed, and I can attest to weirdos come out at night. Also, found needles in the parking lot OFTEN. I quit for unrelated reasons, but I am so glad I did.

"We vowed to never bring it up again" sounds like someone whos in denial. Clearly trying to dodge responsability while making themselves feel better about it like its some noble act to not say the truth cause it'll ruin everything. L friend, L wife.
