Love it. I agree with the reasoning that goes like this: Player A can stop Player B from winning-and thus not lose. That will increase Player C's chance of winning and Player D's chance of winning. Player A, to play to their outs, *must* stop Player B's win attempt.

At 2:48 there's some fun stuff you can do with Trilobite. For example, you can crack one treasure, tap trilobite to add a second counter. Then remove both counters for 4, and one more treasure. This saves you a treasure for future turns. If you don't mind tapping out, you could have used all three treasures and the chrome mox, upticked trilobite, and kept trilobite around for another turn. Last but not least, you could have cracked a treasure at EoT before to tick up trilobite. Then on your turn, use chrome mox to tick up again, then remove two counters for 4 equip mana. This also saves either trilobite or 2 extra treasure for next turn. Trilobite is a sneaky good card here.

My friend and I have been playing 4 card commander. We buy a booster box and divide in half open packs and sort. We have to build a three color commander at minimal. All legendaries have built in partner to make your commanders. We then build a 100 card commander deck with the 18 packs worth of cards. Why its called 4 card commander is you can have up to 4 cards each. Same rules for commander and we have a blast. We've even tried drafting it as well you figure 30 mins to draft and an hour to build. Its made it interesting to build commander decks fast and the strange forced commanders and made us use what we open based on our partner choices. Give this a try had a blast doing this.

Is it possible that bouncing Helm of the Host vs. Godo with chain of vapor (or winds) would have been better in more scenarios than Godo himself? Yes the godo requires more mana to cast, but 1)the Godo player already had cavern if souls out making it uncounterable on the way back down, 2) helm is easier to counterspell than Godo because there are more noncreature counterspells in CEDH, 3) Godo gets another ETB for a free turor like hammer, agrentum armor, etc.
@maezura3 жыл бұрын
Was thinking this myself, giving extra godo etbs and godo himself being cheaper than helm + equip it seemed like bouncing the helm was the line. Brass squire showing up later changes the math on it I suppose.

I'm considering putting together an Illuna/Ghidorah list for my first official cEDH deck. The main win would be Thassa's Oracle/Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and no other nonland permanents. Part of my problem is, I don't know how many cards I'm gonna need to support or dedicate to that with protection, so I was also thinking of making it a Storm list as well? The goal would to build up to a game state where I can win with a storm combo or casting Ghidorah. That said, I not sure how to proceed overall. I have the general idea in my mind, but I'm not sure how feasible it would be without the various mana rocks. I feel there's plenty of strong ramp available with green to make it function, but again... 🤷♂️ Jabbering aside, any tips?

@@PlaytoWinMTG Legitimately speaking I completely spaced on what the timestamp is for what I said that. Technically speaking you can change the target of Deflecting Swat, but you can only change the target of Deflecting swat to a different spell to choose different targets, so in that instance you can. Another thing to note with Deflecting swat is that it gets played as choosing new targets for the spell on cast. You choose new targets on resolution. I think I was thinking the way that you executed the Swat confused me. I can't find the specific bit that I said that about.
