Great information to share. Reminds me of tips on the Global Fly Fisher website. Thank you for helping all to become better fly tiers.

@@Oholisfliesandfishing Here is the primary site - globalflyfisher.com/video/tips/all. This is Martin Joergensen's website - one of the best in fly tying and fishing. There are several videos on that "page" that I did specifically on thread control. I am curious how you developed your techniques with thread, from others or on your own? They mirror many that I have been teaching since the early 1980's around the U.S. and western Canada, as well as England, Scotland, Holland, Denmark, and Norway. Thank you for sharing your skills with others. So many of my students have expressed regret that they did not learn these techniques earlier in their tying. Thanks to your videos more and more are learning.

@@wayne351 its wonderful website. I even saw this (my video) there... Thats very nice. Some stuff i picked up along the way. And some i saw when watching videos... Mostly Oliver Edwards when i was in high school and Kelly Galloup. First being very inspiring but overly complicated for a beginner while Kelly is a practical man. I love all his videos. He is a true fisherman and develops his flies according to real situations which is not an asset of many tiers (mostly instagram ones 😂)

@@Oholisfliesandfishing Ah, yes, Oliver Edward. Fun memories of riding with him in his little Morris Minor station wagon when at the Chatsworth Angling Fair. I will drop Kelly an email about you. He would be pleased to know that he has been of help in your tying and fishing.

@@wayne351 thank you 🙏🙏he is an amazing role model . He has longest videos that i watch every second. I have watched several videos you made... I have to say they are amazing. Very clear explanations and perfect presentation. May i ask if you write a script and then do a voice over?

Thank you for watching it. I also learned that i made a mistake about thread sizing... Denier stands for weight per certain length. Not number of strands... Some of these things i picked up recently myself. That is why i love tying.... Always new, always learning

9:00 I cannot do the pinch method. My skin is always too rough and snags bits of the thread breaking it, which makes it fray and look fuzzy.
@Oholisfliesandfishing2 жыл бұрын
Use some hand creams? If not, spinning bobbin holder counter clockwise will make thread jump into your left hand and help you to place it where you want it. If you tie conventional way and you are right handed... Easiest way for pinch and loop is to buy some GSP thread.... Or to wax UTC.... It will help... Unless your hands are really rough.
@HalfInsaneOutdoorGuy2 жыл бұрын
@@Oholisfliesandfishing I'll have to find a good hand cream. Perhaps it will help. Though I have pretty rough hands from doing my own channel videos and from cold weather fishing.

Neki teze.... Hvala puno za pohvale. Nadam se dq ti je ovo pomoglo 😀😀
