Warwick to Loch Ness. 507miles took 10.5hrs, 3 stops (for the passengers - charged while we used the services) Cupra Born V2 58kwh. Took the same time as when I did the same journey in my old BMW 320d.

Really boring comment (sorry), I spent 13y as a pre-hospital emergency care doctor. If you have to fold seats down to get luggage in, push all luggage up against front seats. In event of a crash there is no chance for luggage to accelerate against the seats and cause injuries. Load restraint nets are ideal but most new cars don’t have them. Having seen a mum & child with spinal injuries from hitting a railway bridge and the same when a tool box shot from rear parcel shelf to hit back of front seats. Anyway, depressing post over, I enjoyed the video. More support for the ease of charging despite all the EV naysayers.

I agree. Back when I would bring a second suitcase in a car this size I would put the second case on the rear seat and then use all the rear seatbelts to strap it in place.

Thanks for sharing I was in Locarno with my ID3 with the VW people same time as you both. Pity it’s not the model that’s available in the UK as hoping to swap mine for the GTX Performance which hasn’t been tested by anyone yet. By the way, I’ve driven several times in my ID3 to Switzerland-the speed limits you see on the infotainment when you cross a border are town/urban/motorway-not mountains and normal roads! Safe travels

Nice looking VW, my brother had a Cabrio and a Scirroco, both great performers, fun to drive, and cool vehicles. Nice to see VW adding another to the family! Joy to drive is what that looks like! I wish I could afford one, seems to be a general problem with a lot of EV's, they are out of my price range still. A matching bike rack and eBike would be supremely cool! Really love these travel/review videos!!! Have you done a EUV video or plan to do one?

Well done, Eilis to get in first on this car. Very interesting to see. TBH, the ONLY reason I watched this is because you were fronting the vid, the car is defo better than I had imagined and has some interesting stuff going on. It looks good outside and inside. Loved the double white tops, looks cool and sporty. Kaleb really came into his own, nice guy to travel with. Hope you can do more like this in the future.

@@johnw65uk 'A valley girl is a socioeconomic, linguistic, and youth subcultural stereotype and stock character originating during the 1980s: any materialistic upper-middle-class young woman, associated with unique vocal and California dialect features, from the Los Angeles commuter communities of the San Fernando Valley. In subsequent years, the term was broadly applied to any American woman who epitomized frivolity, ditziness, airheadedness, or who prioritizes superficial concerns such as personal appearance, physical attractiveness, and excessive materialism over intellectual or personal accomplishment'

199Km/h top speed for the top spec? Have we gone back to the Seventies?!

@Alessandro---23 күн бұрын
@@pmrribeiro what’s the practical use of being able to drive faster than 140 km/h for sustained periods? On most highways in most countries, the speed is limited to 120 km/h with some exceptions like France and Italy to 130 km/h. On a few autobahns there is no speed limit, but your insurance will not cover you for accidents due to excessive speed (and anyway, accidents above 140 km/h will have you and any other life forms involved terminated). And don’t go to the “get to destination faster” or “potential to get out of situations” arguments, both are very easily debunked.
@pmrribeiro23 күн бұрын
@@Alessandro--- the practical use?! You get there faster. You waste less time on the road! Next question? Besides, I'm buying a car, that I expect to move me between different countries. Not t one stuck in the same place, with the same speed limits.
