I have faith and believe the words of the Bible to be accurate and true. I do not need man, with his finite intelligence to try and prove it or disprove it, the Bible and faith is enough for myself.

Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. "By renouncing the Bible, philosophers swing from their moorings upon all moral subjects.. It is the only correct map of the human heart that ever has been published." -- Dr. Benjamin Rush (signed the Declaration of Independence, surgeon general of the Continental Army, professor of chemistry, medical theory, and clinical practice at the University of Pennsylvania, leader in getting Pennsylvania to ratify the Constitution) He has never heard the song "My Own Grandpa"? Which claims because a man married a widow who had a daughter who marrieed his widower father makes his wife is mother-in-law and therefor make him his own grandpa. Yes its a silly song that gets even more absurd when both men have children with their new wives. Greek for actor is hypokrites from which we get the English word hypocrite. One who pretends to me someone they are not.

The concept of the trinity is real. The concept of subsistence with respect to the concept of essence seems difficult to understand and appears contradictory. But it is absolutely contradictory for this philosophy professor. For someone who believes in Jesus, the concept of the trinity makes a lot of sense.

Jesus says "He who has seen me has seen THE FATHER", "He who sees me SEES HIM who sent me.". What if.... JESUS HAD BEEN THE FATHER? Consequences: 1. if Jesus had been the Father, then "Son" surely means that He DERIVES from God, He is not an actual Son. 2. if Jesus had been the Father, then the Father cannot be here, i.e. Jesus must be ALONE, 3. this means that the Father is only IN THE PAST so that nobody could ever see Him ("nobody has seen God at any time" "The world has not known you") 4. if Jesus is ALONE, this means that He is the ONLY KING of heaven, not the Father 5. since everything in the world happens as the Father were here, this means that the Father is ABLE to be active here even from that past temporal dimension ! 6. from point 5. you can say that the Father is VIRTUALLY PRESENT here with his talks and actions but He is actually ABSENT. "Present but absent", you could say that God is "like a spirit" here ( He is the "Spirit of God" aka "Holy Spirit"). 7. is Jesus almighty? What is the purpose of that? All almighty actions can be performed by the Father who is in the past. Jesus may have the freedom to be like a normal man, with no power at all. This is indeed the difference between Father and Son ("the Father is greater than I"). 8. How may Gods are there? Jesus is NOT the almighty God, He is like a normal person. Yet He is not distinct from Him "I am in the Father and the Father in me" because Jesus WAS that almighty God. In other words They are not the SAME ONE God, yet They are not "TWO distinct Gods". You can say that God is more than one and less than two.

This can definitely be a confusing issue. It all goes back to the "mystery" of the Trinity. When Jesus was on the cross, He quoted Psalm 22 (Matthew 27:46; Mark 15:34). This was a psalm of David, but it was a Messianic prophecy as well. The entire psalm contains remarkable predictions by David concerning the coming Messiah. So, one of the reasons He called God "my God" was to fulfill the prophecy of the psalm.

@@davidwesterhoff4406 Did you know that in John 1:1-3, there are different Greek words for both Gods mentioned? The Word, Jesus, (Λόγος or Logos), was with God (Θεόν, or Theon). The Word was God (Θεὸς, or Theos). He, Jesus, was in the beginning with God (Θεόν, Theon). Even though these are different cases of the same word, they are nevertheless differentiated. Satan was also called θεὸς, or Theos at 2 Corinthians 4:4. Is Satan also God? Don’t know Greek? Neither do I. Let’s break this down a little further shall we? In the beginning was the word (Jesus, Son of God), and the word (Jesus, Son of God) was with God (Almighty God, God the Father), and the word (Jesus, Son of God) was God (Almighty God, God the Father)? No matter how you put it, it doesn’t make sense!! What does make sense is that Jesus, being in the beginning with God (Genesis 1:26, John 1:1), in fact being God’s very first creation (Colossians 1:15, Proverbs 8:22, Revelation 3:14), actually calls God his God and worships God the Father. (Revelation 3:12, John 20:17)

@@DogSoldier1948 It looks like your god Jesus is in subjection to my God, Jehovah. 1 Corinthians 15:27,28 27 For God “subjected all things under his feet.” But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that this does not include the One who subjected all things to him. 28 But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.”

Several times the speaker applied singular personal pronouns to a being - "God" - whom the speaker does not believe is a singular person. That's called _confusion._ Of which God - the one _true_ God - is not the author. The bible truth is that the one true God is unipersonal, and HIS name is revealed to be the name which is above _every_ name: *JESUS.*
