Amazing space! Loads of potential. Before you invest in loads of panels, let’s chat about acoustic blankets. The studio I had for a little while (randomly the very next door was Steve Mould, we always talked about doing something together, but then Covid came) was much more echoey than yours due to being insanely high and acoustic panelling (including some from Matt Gray, I just can’t stop namedropping today) were nowhere near as good nor as cheap as a big acoustic blanket. Can’t wait to see what you do with it!

Another bargain option if you don't mind a bit of DIY is to buy rockwool (which is usually used for loft insulation), build a wooden frame around it, and then cover the whole thing in fabric to keep it inside. Many thanks to my dad for bringing his tools during our one time together in 2020 and helping to make the sound panels that make my videos less echoey to this day!

So, so pleased that things are turning around! The first video of yours I watched was the "century we saved earth," and it was so moving. I'd felt really hopeless about the outlook, and it was incredible to see how things could be okay, even without a best-case scenario. Immediately subscribed. OMG having a structurally separated working space is life changing! My husband and I started our business in our home which was okay but we eventually moved houses and now we have the workshop on a completely separate floor with a separate entry from outside and we only realized afterwards now much of a difference it makes. Congratulations to everything! The kid, the studio, the saved channel... sometimes people just don't realize that they actually do want to support a creator and I'm glad you spoke about it before it was too late. I'm so happy for you! when you posted this video 3 months ago I was really devastated. Your videos have always been interesting and informative, so I wasn't prepared for the loss of one of the best resources I point my friends to when they're not sure how climate works. For example, your video on climate cooling? Yeah, it made my friend realise he was being fed misinformation and he started to take climate change more seriously. This is pretty much the first time I'm leaving a comment on KZbin. I've been watching you since I was 14 in India and I graduated with a BSc in Acoustical Engineering 2 weeks ago in the States and trying to go into grad school for Physics now, inspiration for which have come from your videos. I'm so glad you will still be able to make videos and hope to get to a point where we can collaborate on something in the future (and if you need any Acoustical Analysis for de-reverberation or Spectral Analysis for that studio, more than happy to do that haha).
