Awesome! Fantastic tutorial, thanks Warren! One thing I struggle to see though is how the chord playing you referred to connects with what you are playing. Most of the time it seems like you play a walking bass in the left hand and then some combination of notes in the right hand that together make the chord identifier built into your software go crazy... lol

In that fantastic opening tune, did you have to record the singing first with the bass track and no piano? At first I was assuming the piano was first, but the call/response seemed to work the other way. :) That was lots of fun, now I'm going to go learn the rest of the lesson. Thanks!

Hi Warren! First off, just wanted to say I've been really enjoying your videos. I just have a question about what you say/mean around 19:34 since your explanation and demonstration goes very quickly. You say you're playing C7 using the C blues scale, and then follow it saying you "can also use that 'same' A minor blues over the F7". Did you mean earlier that you were playing A minor blues over C7 so that it's the "same" scale? Your licks are played quickly, so I can't compare the scales well to see what you actually meant. Thanks again!
@PianoLessonwithWarren4 жыл бұрын
Yeah you can use A minor blues, or the C minor blues over both C7 and F7.

Hi Warren. At 20:50. Why do you say, "Build a major chord and put a minor 3rd top of that."? That b-flat is a 7th, as you said. But you called it a minor 3rd also. Sorry if I'm wrong, but that doesn't sound correct.
@PianoLessonwithWarren5 жыл бұрын
It’s just an easy way for folks to see a dominant 7 chord. When ever you add the note a minor 3rd from the 5th of the chord you get a dominant 7 chord. That’s what I wanted the more beginners to see.
@JesseLandau5 жыл бұрын
