I feel the same way as you, especially as I get older. I can relate so much! I lowered my unrealistic expectations I had for myself growing up, and accepted that no matter how hard or how much I tried, I will never make my dad proud of me. I lost my mom suddenly, in front of my eyes ,when I was 11. So I lived most of my teens and adult life trying to please him. Now I finally realized, as my kids are teenagers now, that my dad values success by financial status and not by one's character, integrity, and being a good person. That is his loss! So what if he feels like I am not his equal financially and therefore unlovable! My kids are filled with love and I am proud of whatever they choose to do with their life. I will always love my kids, and will never make them feel the way I have felt growing up, not good enough unless you make tons of money!

Yeshua(Jesus) the Christ loves you! Praise YHWH El Shaddai and may He bless you! Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords! (YHWH - the LORD) (El Shaddai - God Almighty) To those who haven’t; Repent of your sins and believe on the Adon Jesus the Christ, believe in your heart that He has died for your sins and rose from the tomb on the third day and you shall receive the Holy Spirit of God and He shall dwell within you. You shall be saved. Be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! - Jesus the Christ loves you, praise YHWH our Elohim - Evidence for Jesus Christ’s existence, crucifixion, and disappearance from the tomb (He rose from it): The Lord Jesus Christ did exist, gathered disciples, and was crucified and went missing from the tomb. To argue about wether He was taken from the grave or rose from it, is an argument a skeptic can make. Because well if you disregard the eye witness testimony of the disciples and there willingness to die for Christ, and humans won’t die for something they know is a lie, when Peter is pinned upside down to that cross, he could have said that it was a fake, but He didn’t because it wasn’t, what care would he have about death in this world if he knew for a fact he had assurance of a life in another, Jesus Christ did rise from the tomb and is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Now the evidence for the Lord Jesus Christ’s existence really isn’t hard to find a multitude of non-Christian scholars and historians mention Him within 150 years after the time of His life. One such is Tacitus a Roman historian who reported on emperor nero’s decision to blame the Christians for the fire that had destroyed rome in 64 AD. Tacitus wrote: “Nero fastened the guilt ... on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of ... Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome…” In this Tacitus makes reference to not only Christians, but Christ calling Him Christus and confirming the Gospels going on to say that He suffered the extreme penalty (crucifixion) under the reign of Tiberius and by the sentence of Pontius Pilate, which like I said confirms the Gospels narrative. Another important source of evidence about Jesus and early Christianity can be found in the letters of Pliny the Younger to Emperor Trajan. Pliny was the Roman governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor. In one of his letters, dated around A.D. 112, he asks Trajan's advice about the appropriate way to conduct legal proceedings against those accused of being Christians. Pliny says that he needed to consult the emperor about this issue because a great multitude of every age, class, and sex stood accused of Christianity. At one point in his letter, Pliny relates some of the information he has learned about these Christians: “They were in the habit of meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light, when they sang in alternate verses a hymn to Christ, as to a god, and bound themselves by a solemn oath, not to any wicked deeds, but never to commit any fraud, theft or adultery, never to falsify their word, nor deny a trust when they should be called upon to deliver it up; after which it was their custom to separate, and then reassemble to partake of food - but food of an ordinary and innocent kind.” This passage provides a number of interesting insights into the beliefs and practices of early Christians. First, we see that Christians regularly met on a certain fixed day for worship. Second, their worship was directed to Christ, demonstrating that they firmly believed in His divinity. Furthermore, one scholar interprets Pliny's statement that hymns were sung to Christ, "as to a god", as a reference to the rather distinctive fact that, "unlike other gods who were worshipped, Christ was a person who had lived on earth." If this interpretation is correct, Pliny understood that Christians were worshipping an actual historical person as God! Of course, this agrees perfectly with the New Testament doctrine that Jesus was both God and man. You may have heard of the scholar Flavius Josephus who mentioned James as being the brother of the Lord Jesus Christ, which matches what Paul said calling James “The Lord’s brother” and there is another document that Josephus may have written which goes: “About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he ... wrought surprising feats.... He was the Christ. When Pilate ...condemned him to be crucified, those who had . . . come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared ... restored to life.... And the tribe of Christians ... has ... not disappeared.” Now it’s up to debate wether this is the entirely original document of what Josephus wrote, or if a Christian had edited it. But regardless he wrote about the Lord Jesus Christ. Wether it was negative or positive like the possible document is. Anyways there are many other statements, documents, letters, and writings of all sorts from the ancient world talking about the Lord Jesus Christ and there is not one question if He was a real person or if He was crucified and went missing from the grave. That is clear as day, He is a real person, was crucified, and went missing from the grave. And He did rise from the grave. And for more evidence of the Lord Jesus Christ, there’s the Bible and you see there is no evidence the Bible is corrupted, a lie, created by the Roman government, folktale. It is the recount of the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, now wether you want to believe it is up to you. And what profit was there in spreading Christianity, All the early Christian suffered persecution, beatings, and were killed. Another Scholar reported that James the Lord’s Brother was thrown off a building and then stoned to death for spreading the Gospel in Jerusalem. These people went to great lengths even giving their own lives for the Adon Jesus the Christ.

Just started listing to your podcast today, just in the past several hours I've looked at things with a better view. Thank you for a different perspective of being able to see the same things I look at everyday and literally I felt differently and got myself up and did the opposite of what I generally do and what a difference. The human mind, a million ways to look at something and just that little nudge makes a difference....thank you!!!!

Thank you for sharing all of your experiences and perspectives, Chris!!! I am in a dark place right now, and need to find my way out of it. I have therapy and meds, but they are not easy fix band aids. There is a lot of work I have to do to get better. I have loved you since I found you on CNN in 2019. And I am really feeling blessed to have come across you. I know you have been through a lot, and I am so happy you came to News Nation ❤️. And this podcast too!!!! You are right, struggles are very hard. I do know how difficult it is to struggle. I am 51 years old, and have been through quite a bit. My philosophy on it is that the more I get beat up, the stronger I will eventually become with time, even if it doesn't feel that way now. I got hit by my father a lot when I was just a baby girl, probably about 4 or 5 when it started. I have realized that was the root of why I felt like a fragile child, and it seemed to just carry over into my adolescent and adult life. I have never fully loved myself, and I am working so hard to get to that point someday. I really hope that I am not boring you to tears with my long story!!! I just admire you so much for what you bring to me and so many others. You are not alone, Chris. I have been there too, and am proud to take the journey with you! Stay strong and keep doing what you do! You are appreciated 💛 ❤️ 💙 💜 🧡 💚

Its sooo important when you fall, to get up, dust yourself off, remove any bitterness that could enter your head and replace negative thoughts with motivating ones that help you recover from what caused you to fall. Nobody deserves to beat themselves up relentlessly. Like you have said nobody is perfect. We will all fail, we will get frustrated with ourselves, but onward and forward. Needs to be our focus. 🎉🎉🎉I do not want to relive my mistakes, to me its like peeling the scab off a wound. Loved your ending!!❤❤❤

Let me give you an example, black people aren't arrested more often due to racism. They are arrested more often because they are more prone to committing crimes and acting violently. @catherinesalacuse3284
@catherinesalacuse3284 Жыл бұрын
Those three words are a fantastic way to summarize how to think well & think better in order to self respond to our demons….& pains I have my ways, philosophy is #1, but your quote « WHAT…SO WHAT….NOW WHAT… » is an unbelievable short cut for all what I know works & worked for me. Nevertheless, as Chris you just mentioned to us, one has to dissect those three questions & dig in his or herself to extract each of his /her own answers. Such a smart, intelligent & well thought concept you are bringing to the « couch project » To me the only thing that takes me out of any daily mental or psychological pain…. Is the fact that nothing worth than loosing a child or someone you Love. It lightens everything & put in a perspective any other mental trauma. From there, I know that when Death is taking away someone from me, I have no control over & no option therefore accepting it. (When young the injustice is more unbearable though.) Getting older, I use « What?…So what?….Now what? »…in my own way, not so simplistic though….I am not simple by nature… Because older, we know more & we know that death is part of life. And it’s very okay for myself but it’s still not easy to let good people in my life, leave me. Death is the only place where we have zero control on. So any other issues & situations….I know how to manage & control….and it is mostly with this same short cut philosophical concept that you bring up. I hope this image of self support you are sharing Chris, will help many to understand that we all have an important part to play in our mental health. Thank you Chris for pursuing to follow w/us your challenges & for sharing anything which you feel could help any of us. 👍🇫🇷🇺🇸

Good topic. My idea, is we are here a very short time. I accepted that death is going to happen. I've been hit by lightning. I couldn't control what happened, it just happened. That's life. By God's grace I'm still here. I've always tried to do the right thing. But by accepting death it makes living life a lot more exciting. Looking forward to every day.

Believe in better for yourself .....I believe that has been a problem for me all my life. Happiness comes from within, it does not come from money, it is not other people’s responsibility. Outside influences can help or hinder but we must find our “happy place!” I think people who suffer with any mental illness or drug addiction are having a hard time believing in a better self.

Now what? I love a person that is jealous of my past person so he changed his mind about me. And by the way I have nothing to do with that past person today. That was my past! My solution: Stay single until I find the right person. That’s the best idea I have at the moment.

Chris, I would like to DEFINE two new terms: IP: RELATIVE DEPRESSION = An emotional and mental state of PERIODICAL BLEAKNESS. IP:PERIODICAL BLEAKNESS = A conditional state for a specific definite or indefinite period of time (MOMENT) where carbon based creatures FEEL and/or REACT to the REALITY of THEIR: 1- lack of nutrition and exposure to unsafe environmental conditions 2- charmless & inhospitable living conditions 3-hopelessness, social/political injustice and lawlessness, violence, terrorism 4-lack of kindness & unfair treatment by other carbon based creatures What do you think? Let me know & Thank you 🙏🏾🤲🏽

Right near the beginning you mentioned your depression. I thought on a previous episode you mentioned that your meds were really helping you ? I am confused now. Is News Nation not working out as you hoped it would ? You were always by far my favorite person on CNN and being in Canada I can't watch News Nation. I like what I see from the clips they release on their KZbin channel and of course I love this KZbin channel of yours as well.

Chris there is no comfort in worry it is soul sucking and anxiety producing. Worry is the thief of the present moment. It keeps you prisoner in your mind and out of living. I enjoy your interviews but you beating yourself up all the time and saying you are always failing is not constructive it is keeping you mired in it.

This was some great stuff, but I'm going to be honest. I'm not a fan of What, So what, now what. This is MY stuff. I prefer, what, what does it mean, now what. To ME words matter (I'm sure to all of us this is the case) and to ME, so what, is dismissive of whatever someone is dealing with. There's a famous quote regarding opinions. It can be applied here. Thank you for allowing me to share mine.

Wish you were a little more empathetic toward Sen Fetterman. You talk a lot about mental health issues, but your tone toward him comes off insensitive. Maybe you're not meaning to come off that way, but the media acts like he is the only one who must disclose his medical records. Do you know many politcians', past and present, who have mental and physical illnesses and continued to serve? They didn't have to deal with this. You had politcians who had strokes too. Just saying.. ..let's not single just one person out. If his doctor ruled he is okay to go, then that's what matters.

Chris, I know it’s been hard for you lately. Being let go of CNN has lead you into a difficult path. You could have plenty of comments here applauding you or trolling you on a video, but these are just surface level things. You will place your head on your pillow every night still wondering “But what does it all mean? What is my life’s purpose?” I had the same thoughts about so many things. And I genuinely mean it with all my heart when I say: you have a higher purpose than what you seek. Just know there is a God that loves you, has a plan for you and wants to guide you towards your purpose, give you peace every day, and show you how valuable you really are. You can spend the rest of your life trying to figure it out on your own and just keep running into the same thought of “but what does it mean and how important is what I’m even doing?” We will all be forgotten in the world at some point. Our life is like a vapor here. Don’t let it be wasted on seeking worldly things that will all be gone one day. Seek the one who created you and your purpose and I genuinely promise you, you will not be disappointed. I pushed him away for so long, but you have no idea how much he will reveal to you. All I ask is that you ask Jesus to reveal himself to you as open heartedly as you can. He claims in the Bible that he WILL do so. Just be open to how that looks. Love you Chris. You’re not alone my friend. God bless you and I genuinely will pray for you today. Just know the God of heaven hears your prayers😢. He doesn’t want a religion: he wants a relationship with you. That’s why you are here.

If it doesn't work for you, you should disregard it and find another approach that does work for you, and then share! What if, you actually create a mistake driven by your belief of failing? To confirm your worry? And, you can still become angry or feel sad when you're happy. Not at the same time, but instead of retreating back to misery, your starting base is happiness (and peace and love). Allow yourself to feel. I like seeing emotions as oceanwaves. They come and go, don't get caught in them! Argyris is cool 🙂

Chris, Because of HE-ONLY States in the US (e.g. New York). Is the US in violation of INTERNATIONAL LAW? Can MY HUSBAND & OUR BUSINESS PARTNERS sue for SLAVERY? When WOMEN (she) commits PERJURY according to NY PENAL LAWS is it a CRIME? If NOT; Are LEGAL PROCEEDINGS (testimony, court, grand jury, judicial proceeding, etc ) in NY UNCONSTITUTIONAL & OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE to rely on the CREDIBILITY, ACCURACY, TRUTHFULNESS OF A WOMAN'S ("she") SWORN TESTIMONY? AREN'T ALL NEW YORKERS AT RISK AND VICTIMS BECAUSE OF THE NYS LEGISLATURE?

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I love how you share your life and heart with all who wish to listen. The three W's you talked about today are such a clear way to work through conflict. I did something similar last week to work through a situation; first within myself and I was clear to talk it through with the person I was in conflict with. We both came out of it understanding each others perspective. Simple but powerful. Keep up the good work! Madhu Maureen
