Pretty much. The topics missing are the ones on usual GCSE. I'd recommend if you do AQA regular maths to also check the rationalising denominator video (the second half as it has some harder questions).

Will it work if instead of eliminating, I use substitution? For example, make a the subject in equation 2 and substitute that into 1

how do you know whether to add or subtract the two equations?

You add if the signs of the varilable you are eliminating are different. Subtract if the same.

Why did you use 3 to multiply the last equation 😢

On the final example? It is because on one equation we had b and another we had 3b so by multiplying by 3 we get a 3b in both of them. This means we can eliminate it.
