Not sure on that... the shells probably weigh about the same. But it definitely be worth a shot. I just picked out the goods and slide the shells off the porch with my hand.

Great. I have about 9 pounds (I weighed them) of found pee cans (or is it pehcans) that I've been shelling after letting them air dry for about 3 weeks. I have a 10" cross bar or Groove Joint pliers. I watched this video and modified my technique to conform with the vertical pecan placement. I'm pleased with the results. Thank you. Of course you have buckets of them to process so the cinder block or brick method is a good choice.
