Hi @Freylife, super happy you finally got to be on the Vertex triple combo. I was actually in all 3 phases of the trial drug studies for it And I couldn't believe how big a difference they made. I'm near 40 and they made a huge difference for me personally. Hopefully it does get FDA approved. Thanks Vertex and CF supporters!

True, sometimes even when they are both saying mostly upbeat things or not much more negative than usual, you can see a sort of tired grim look in Peter's eyes especially, and you know things aren't going too well at all and are actually quite serious. It's lovely to see him look happier and more truly relaxed! And I take my cue from him on how things are really going :).

I think many of us are speechless, Mary! It is so amazing to see the transformation in your health. I know it isn't a cure but it is just so wonderful to see how much more you are able to do without having coughing and without having to spend hours in bed afterward. It is so wonderful to think of what this drug can do for many other CF patients and I thank God for giving man the understanding needed to create it. It is a miracle.

I’ve watched your vlog since before you left for scotland. I’ve laughed with you and sometimes felt very sad as I’ve seen your health decline, improve a little, then decline a little more. I’m really happy the meds have been helping you. It’s been an emotional roller coaster. Recently there was an improvement in research for my eye disorder and it’s been found iris transplants can help! I’m not sure how I feel about that but I do truly see hope for both you and I. PS. I see my favorite chips on the table 6:19

There's a huge difference in your healthy exhaustion, Mary, than when you work as hard as you can on clearing your lungs and between that and the coughing you're worn out in a very different way. I noticed it also when you were packing things in Massachusetts. You were up late, you were really tired - but it was like normal tired. This makes me so happy. Yay!!

Yay for less coughing, Mary! It’s so ironic, because I’m just “learning” to cough. I suppressed it much of my life and swallowed mucus. Now I do my Vest more diligently because every day I look forward to seeing you two (and Ollie) while I shake for 20 min. You are literally a breath of fresh air.

Yay for being able to help move furniture! The couch and chairs look great in the family room. My husband and I found a great solid wood round table that can expand for $10 bucks at Goodwill. Vertex makes me so happy that it makes you feel awesome!
