Agreed!!!! I think anything over 10 dollars is expensive. Unless it is a barely worn designer or brand name coat. My thrift store also has half off days. I get skirts for 5 dollars or less, shirts for like 1.50 to 3.00 dollars.

So cute! Killing me with “pocket” 😂 it’s a casing! And you don’t need to pin with your elastic in before you sew. Measure your elastic and increase it around 1/8-1/4” so if it’s 1/2 elastic, you will fold it 3/4” up.

Sam Bernal pants/shorts typically have a bit more room for the bum, so if you cut the front and back of your shorts identically, then it doesn’t give you enough room and that might be what made it feel so weird! I’m not sure if this was the problem you ran into, but I hope this helps!

Sam Hall Does It All I just sewed it closed so it is more like a pull over hoodie now. I did a bunch of research to see if I could create a new box and pin at the bottom so it could zip open but I would've had to install a whole new zipper! 🥺

Oh my but your thrift stores are expensive. In central and northern Arizona or tag sales on a certain day are only 1 dollar. Yep that's right. 1 dollar no matter what. I have a whole closet full oif things to redo. Just have to get healthy and get to sewing and videoing them. But nice job redoing the shorts outfit. Also favored the black and red hoodie. Very nicely done.
