Great knifehaul again George!!! We have simmilar taste in knives it seems: i also like Barlows and Electriciansknives and I LOVE Fishingknives. I just ordered a new Electriciansknife from Rough Ryder! RRs are not so easy to come by here in Europe, but i managed to find a webshop which sells RRs!

The blue Cub Scout SAK is a great find. Would fill in a " hole" in my scout knife collection. Time for me to go knife hunting. Found a couple nice ones in St. PETER 2 days ago.

Nicely done, George! Great choices in your antiquing trip! I am certainly glad I don't have one of those shops here. I don't think my grocery budget would survive! Can't wait to see how your restores go. By the way, have you tried dropping those Victorinox SAKs in hot water for a few minutes before trying to pry the scales off and / or pop 'em back on? Something you may want to give a try. Seems to make it easier to pop 'em off and on without damage, and when they cool back down, they are just as snug as the original fit. Hot, not boiling...

Awesome haul George! The Victorinox lily is a special edition I believe! I love the frontier series by imperial I have a really cool stockman by them and looking to collect some brothers for it! That Cubscout Victorinox is slick I really like that one too! If it looks and feels like a Camillus, it's probably a Camillus lol!

Love the Kabar knives they typically have very good steel like the Western brand knives, if you have a chance at Moore Maker knives they are very good too

Nice haul. My favorite is either blue Sak or Kabar. I think the red one will clean up nicely. The old bone handled one will be awesome when you get it finished. Be careful with handles, I think I would try the razor blade trick. Have a great day

Yep..that blade delete will be a challenge I need more practice..still struggling with pin removal and pinning back...lol. but we persist. Be safe with you and yours

@@2ndchancegeorge place the Razorblade between the blades on a flat surface. If you tap the razor blade itself with a small hammer. It will separate the knife like plitting a piece of wood with a wedge. I’ve seen it done cutting the Center pan, but it worked best for me starting at the end with the main blade first. it was less trauma on the middle of the knife and it didn’t break or split the bone.

Congratulations George a honey hole for sure! Please someone correct me if I’m wrong but, the bone handle, four blade knife is most likely a ww2 issued camp knife, many were made by Camillus, in fact made the most I believe (not always marked I might add) but, a couple of other companies also produced them. I’m have to check my book back home see if I could come to a better consensus on if it is and exactly what brand it likely is. I’m at work now and would have to check later. Beautiful knive nonetheless with good history also particularly like the queen. Great haul and happy hunting!

I would agree it looks like it has steel liners, from my understanding the government had knives made for troops from several companies and they didn’t have brass liners or manes on the tang.

After reviewing the video and looking at the knife more closely and checking in my military knife book. I realized this wasn’t a military knife, it’s not a pattern that was issued in the war. It looks like possibly a senator pattern? I did however research the tang and ‘Forged USA’ was made by Camillus for Sears c1930’s. I still think steel liners hints at it being made closer to the war. Thank you for the content, was fun doing some research and I learned a little more on my knife journey!
