If the superglue doesn’t work for the tree, you can get Sam to weld/solder it together so it doesn’t come apart

That “bowl” that you couldn’t decide was glass or metal??? My aunt makes stuff like that by finding large square or round glass plates, thrifted of course. She then places them upside down on a metal cylindrical block and puts it in her kiln. She then watches as it slowly melts down and forms around which ever base she chose and turns off kiln to cool down. When cooled down she has a beautiful vase or bowl (depending on the size of base she used). He favorite glass plates are the pearlescent and swirling patterned glass. They make the best bowls.

If you're worried about your glass display pieces sliding and falling, we use something in museums called Museum gel that's basically clear sticky glue that easy to peel off of things but can hold them down pretty firmly to shelves while sitting. should be sticky enough to keep Archie from pushing things too!

Indeed. Too much pastel with nothing to accent it, would loose the effect of itself. It would all blur together like a melted pastel ice cream. Having harder colours sprinkled throughout will make it pop more, not detract.

It's so funny that seeing Spring/Summer flowers for Christmas. I know it's summer in Australia, but even on Christmas days here in North Carolina when it 90° (it's was 39° on Christmas day this year) we're totally decorated in flocked evergreen & pointsettias. That's what you need to add more of next year Alex.. white "greenery".. picks, white snow flocked Christmas branches, oh & burch wood!!

Ah yes I give the silent treatment I’m just awake enough to get dressed and eat, don’t even bother saying good morning because you’ll get a what’s so good about it or no it’s not at most or more likely a glare & grunt. I had a real problem when I first started working one of my coworkers found it rude that I never said good morning when I came in they thought it was personal...no my brains not working I’m lucky I got here without getting into an accident. I have to be awake for few hours before my manners kick in. Ah the joys of living almost an hour away from work I’m not getting up at 4 in the morning just so I have a few hours to wake up properly especially since I didn’t get to sleep till 1-2 in the morning.ah youth when you could get by on 4 hours of sleep and didn’t have to talk to anyone until your first class.

Those star lanterns I have! I live in the US and I have thrifted them for the last 5 years and still find them today. I turn them into little fairy gardens inside. You just gotta pry off the metal that holds the candle inside. I probably have around 5 of them throughout my house!! It's so funny how things like this travel through generations.

Usually a bbq, plus roasts and cold ham. Followed by a pavlova (sorry New Zealand), fruit and cakes etc. Washed down with beer or Cruisers (alcopops), soft drink, cocktails or for the younger crowd, goon (boxed wine) 😂

I just wanted to say that I'm so sad thriftmas with you is almost over lol. Like I'm sitting here , Christmas Eve after the longest year and you said "it feels like there won't be a nother Christmas" and my high ass (I live in the states where weed is legal) is like aaawwweee she's right it does feel like that. But it also made me realize that I really loved this series. I use to work in a thrift store and had to quit because of covid (I live with my immune compromised family) and it's been months since I have stepped foot in a thrift store. I miss it so much!!! So thank you so much for letting me live vicariously through you. I didn't realize till right now how much to me to have this series every day this month. Murano is an island in Venice, where hand-blown glass has been made for centuries. If you ever get the chance to visit, you can see the artisans at work and purchase all sorts of objects. Also visit the island of Burano, which has the houses painted all different colours.
