Goodwill sells a lot of their good stuff online or sends them directly to their specialty boutique stores. You can still find good stuff in their regular retail stores (or even the outlet) since they miss things, but they definitely pick good things out.

In NYC, there’s tiers to thrifting: thrifting, consignment, vintage. The more curated, the pricier it gets... but you also get clothes that are close to new as imaginable.
