Yes! I love what you said at the start. I think that needing to dress differently once you're a mom is such a hangover from our parents generation. You're still you! I think it's important for your kids, especially daughters, to see you retain your identity and feel confident. I feel like it's absolutely misogyny when we expect women to just conform to some bland uniform as soon as they give birth. Like no, you're still an individual, you're still sexy and edgy and whatever you want to be.

those vintage Halloween candles are so cute!! I think my fav thing you got is the tank with the ribbons at the top of the sleeves! I'm so with you- band tees and shorts was my go-to/main outfit in high school and a handful of years afterwards. Part of it was that I didn't really buy clothes but I went to concerts a lot and got merch at them or for them. Another part was body insecurity and worrying about underarm sweat. Anyway, since 2020 in particular I've been really giving myself a wardrobe- more styles, more colors, more variety! It also feels so much better. As much as I do like a simple tee and shorts/pants look, I used to be more 'fashionable' growing up and I missed that,,, but yeah self-consciousness hit me hard in high school.

I feel like everyone around me just expects me to 'get my old body/life' back. Also noone seems to understand how your life can be dictated by breastfeeding.
