Hello, I'm very interested in the "guitar" type instrument that is usually accompanied by altai style music. The strummed instrument not the one played with a bow. Thanks for your time!

How exactly do you get that whistling sound to be loud enough? I can’t nearly afford the lessons :(
@daldanus3 жыл бұрын
You probably don't need this anymore, but you can save 64% on his lesson by downloading the chrome extension called honey! Brings the price down to about 67 dollars.

I will keep your master class in mind for over the holidays when I can potentially sit down and get some time in on practising. While it probably isn't your usual song, I am curios to hear how Amazing Grace sounds in Sygyt style throat singing. It's the closest I have ever heard a human voice get to the sound of bagpipes. I guess that's motivation for me to sign up to your class and do it myself. :) I apologise about nit-picking, but when checking out your Master class page, there is a typo in the description section: "Practical exercises will help you learn the _mail_ styles of throat singing like Karrgyraa, Khoomei and Sygyt in a short time." Thank you for all your awesome videos, and I look foreword to your future videos.

I've been trying to learn Sygyt for over a year and a half now. I can make the "basic" tone, I place my tongue in an "L" position behind my teeth (touching the roof of my mouth) but I can't seem to produce any overtones. Any tips on what I might be doing wrong?
@CeaselessFish5 жыл бұрын
Samael MorningStar gonna have to pay for that I’m sure 😂. I hear you should master the khoomei(?) first. Also I’m no expert but I imagine being able to whistle clearly with your tongue in the Sygyt style but without the base tone would help you get it right? (I’m also just learning and can only get a very faint overtone with sygyt)
@user-Kiwi494 жыл бұрын
I find I have to place the tongue on my soft pallet or just past the roof of my mouth to make the overtones. Tricky business.
