Missing Arnjolf and Isbel. I got Arnjolf by letting the first time you encounter Skellige troops to let them leave, later on, in the marshes, you find another raiding party (with Arnjolf) and they want to join you because of what you did (and because they think you will lead them to a glorious death in battle). In the end though, they just leave to fight another day. Isbel the healer you get from a sidequest. Later on she turns into Isbel the destroyer. She left because I attacked and killed most nilfgaardians and she didnt like that at some point and just instantly left.

I got my Gascon killed, it was sad but seems like a fitting ending for him, cause Meve honor his house. Villem become trustworthy. Rayla leaves at Mahakam sadly, good card too, but i'm okay having Isbel: Destroyer for 100+ damage at round 3. Non-human happy, even got Gabor + +. Nilfgaard scares of me even when i let them go a few times lol

I was mostly fair as i could during the war, I just decided I didn't want to romance reynard since I likes his relationship with Meve as somewhat "professional" and i got the ·bad" meve ending... reminds me of Witcher 3 where i decided not to romance neither triss nor yenn and the game was completely unprepared for the choice...

Yeah, I kind of wish that there was an option where Isbel could become Meve's advisor if you still have her around at the end and Willem and Reynard are unavailable. The final conversation between Meve and Isbel suggested that she'd become her advisor anyway.

I got the ending where Meve and Reynard are friends with benefits (that’s my headcanon) Also: I lost Eyck when I spared keltillus and then I restarted Mahakam and kept Eyck. No regrets

Keltullis wasn't an evil dragon though. She was just furious the dwarves poisoned her and murdered her children. :( Wanting to kill dragons just because they're dragons shows that Eyck is a dumb religious fanatic. He even let his wife die simply because of his religious dogmatism. Not to mention he doesn't follow Meve's orders in the slightest, so he's unworthy of being in the retinue.

I killed the general who massacred the village instead of ransomed him, murdered the envoy in Mahakam and fought the detachment in Angren, and I still got to be "the tenacious one".

Well... in my first playthrough (that I just finished) I: -Did not get Sir Eyck recruited. When he said "I'd rather not join an army" I went with the "Well, I wouldn't want to force you" dialogue option, expecting to be able to sway him by assissting with his monster hunt quest. However it turns out that was the last I saw of him... -Black Rayla left me upon reaching Mahakam. Fine with that, shame for the card though, it was very useful. -Missed Barnabas. Reason: at the time was paying a lot of attention to not anger the Elder-in-Chief by interfering with Dwarven law. So when I saw Dwarves gettiing the barrell ready I thought "Uuuh, if I obstruct their laws here, it could cost me Dwarven support. Better stay out of it." Wasn't even aware for a few hours that I had missed out on a companion. -Told the truth about the Zigrin's crimes. Was VERY shocked when that cost Gabor his head (since all the other Zigrins "just" get exiled). -Was quite sad Xavier turned out to be a traitor. -Very happy to see Villem turn into a likable character towards the end. -Gascon died a hero. A fitting end to his tale. -Meve ruling with Reynard at her side is a fitting ending for them both. I only wonder: the game mentions Meve ruling for many years after the game. But the Third Northern War starts only some years after this war. And in that conlict Lyria and Rivia fall quickly, so what happens to Meve in the end?

So happy I accepted Villem's terms of surrender after seeing the other endings. He really deserved the good ending imo. The fact that he rights his wrongs and sacrifices himself to help take back Rivia Castle even after being denied is testament to him truly feeling remorse for his betrayal. His bad ending is almost as sad as Gascon dying and being buried in the Brossard's mausoleum.

8:00 actually i got this ending on my first playtrough even though Reynard survived. I just didn't considering talking to anyone again since i was kinda down after almost everyone left aside from Gabor and Arnjolf. I also found it hilarious that of all people Arnjolf was the one to stick with me to the end. The last person i would expect to do so.

I cheated a bit in my first playthrough and read a few things ahead, but even without it I had no problems keeping Sir Eyck as I was going for the rigtheous Meve trope. On the other hand, Rayla left me because I was too soft on the elves and i don't regret it at all (didn't like her tbh). As much as I loved Gascon, I think the best ending for Meve and for the whole kingdom is to let Villem and Reynard live and rule with Meve. The epilogue scene where Gascon is buried in his family tomb with honors and the sad music plays gets me to tears every time nonetheless 💔 All and all I so very much love the Thronebreaker for it's grey morale (and the visuals, and the music, and the writing, everything) - it shows that in Witcher world at times of war there is no good decision, only lesser or greater evil and you can't save all. You have to choose and you can't go back beacause of the merciless autosave (I despised it firstly, but it fits the story - you have to live with your decisions). Another masterpiece from CDPR in my eyes

Very late to the party but I enjoyed everything about this game, beside maybe not being able to have more deck slots at once (even though I only switched it three times, first when you basically have to, then for the leech monster and for the very last fight). As for the various endings, I managed to keep both Gascon and Reynard alive, Villem died as a hero (which to me perfectly befits its narrative, it was what it took him to "atone for his sins"), created a better society for non-humans and really liked how Meve ended up the tenacious battle-hardened yet rightful queen, after all the emotional and physical scars war (or even better guerrilla) had left on her I definitely liked her being a bit more harsh, it just felt better than a way more standard happy ending

I finish the game with villen as sucessor, reynard as lover, gascon sacrifice, bad to the elves because the slaughter in the medic cave and rayla's madness, bad for the niilfigards because I just spare than for a fight twice and my men that I rescued from the mine killed the whole prisioners. I kept isbel, barnabas, patricide and reynard till the end.

I got the good ending, but man it’s so sad that Gascon wasn’t there to see us in times of glory and peace, but judging by his good ending it seems that he wasn’t really one to enjoy times of peace like the rest. He was an adventurer at heart and didn’t want to settle down as a lord to die of old age. That actually brings me happiness now, knowing that he died fighting for someone he believed in and to right his past wrongs.

Hello. I have a small detail: I finished Gascons storyline in unusual way. When I got to Brossard's graveyard I did not have enough resources to rebuild it, thus the option was grayed out. Plus at the Rivia battle I chose to sacrifice Gascon. During the ending Clip with dog statue played. Although it is worth mentioning that all other cutscenes and dialogues played similar to when you refuse rebuilding the Graveyard.

The only negative thing I did to the nilfs was attack their army in the swamp when the didn't want to fight and I got the negative ending so I think quite a lot hangs on that I was nice to every single elf and supported the laws that protect them in the town and still got the negative ending for that.

I can't believe I got THE BEST possible ending on my first run. Everyone's alive and with me until the end, but Gascon who died as a hero, and Barnaba who stayed in the town in Rivia (which I think both are relatively good compared to other endings). Eyk will have met with Zigfrid, the witch and gabor are with me, rayla leaves at the end to fight elves, villem is alive, and odo is "much much more..." nilfgaard remembered me as a merciful queen and non humans got equal rules. AND OF COURSE the doggy's with me)))

I don't know if keeping Rayla in your party constitutes as having the best ending (she's kind of an indiscrimiante butcher, having pleased her as you did doesn't sound so good to me). Also you have to choose not to do certain quests because I know there's at least one where you can lose either Isbel or Rayla depending on your choices if you have both in your party.

I don't understand the romance alternative with Reynard. he was meve's husband's aide-de-camp and closest advisor, he trusted reynard to the last only to get posthumously cuckolded to the man that had a sexual dynamism of -5 throughout the whole story. even the game thinks the same as they just use some side-line BS to say that reynard had become "something more". like even it thinks its awkward but that one writer really thought that the most unkinetic and unchemical people in the story should hook up and also " yeah but meve never really ruled because how can a woman properly do shit by herself, right. the only reason women would have to do shit without a man behind the scenes is under the extreme circumstances that everyone that was dead or missing so..." i say sexist and rushed conclusion. but otherwise great game
