Lots of those NCP units in the region, given they are from Bensalem (Philly). That horizontal unit was probably a 4000 aeries. Unfortunately they discontinued the 4000 series in the heat pump version for SEER2. Usually need these units on old condo buildings from the 70s.

Man i enjoy your videos more than pipe doctor. I definitely still watch his channel but you’re newer to the trade, so when you explain what you’re doing, it’s easier to understand, I guess. Mikey has been around for a while, so even in his how to videos, i feel like he skips over a bunch of the small details because he assumes that everyone knows, idk. Anyway keep the videos coming. We actually replace all failed PSC motors with ECM swap motors. We keep 2 part numbers on the truck that will fit 98% of every blower motor on the market. We use Evergreen 6005 and 6010 motors. They cover from 1/4HP through 1HP. Really good motors

Interesting, I prefer PSC motors over ECM. But too each there own, maybe we’ll consider stocking those ECMs

@DCHVAC we've been using them for about 6 years now. We bought a few to try out then switched to them. Never had one fail

Only seen those 1 time,National comfort products,I really didnt undrrstand why they used it.Guy had lots of room for a conventional unit.With Carrier manufactiring down the street,I think alot of the employees got to take home alot of stuff to try.One guy had a gymnasium unit R-500 unit from the 50s,pretty cool unit,but way too big for his garage,in the house he had a 50s gas conversion furnace and all aluminum ductwork! Thing was full of steel to copper braze joints!

My mom's house has that aluminium duct on a 1972 Metromatic oil furnace with a Beckett SR burner. House also has the wide aluminum siding. Crazy how much aluminum was used back then.

How will the operation of the PSC motor differ from the ECM given multiple speeds? Any Efficiency loss ?

Look into getting a go pro that you can mount on your hat or something so you still have two hands to work and you can record more content. I’ll pitch in $30 towards that

I have a GoPro but it’s easier to film with the iPhone and directly upload to KZbin. GoPro adds hours of extra steps.

@@DCHVAC ughh that sux. Send them here ill edit them haha. I just feel like long term, for better content you may want to look into something that won’t hinder you from working but at the same time capture alot of the content that you wouldn’t have otherwise been able to catch, esp the unexpected moments. But that’s your call obviously it’s your channel. I do see you surpassing mikey though with time and exposure. Im glad the algorithm directed me to your channel. Keep up the good work brother!
