Stumbled upon your channel when showing my sister the crushed glass method with pottery last weekend during snowpocalypse in Seattle. Countless hours of your videos later, her, her BF, and I are all addicted. You have great energy and content. You've provided a wealth of knowledge to my sister (the potter) and now her BF thinks he should also be able to just throw some pots (not a potter). 😂

It is so satisfying to watch you put a wet blob of yucky clay on your pottery wheel and turn it into a beautiful coffee mug! Love it!

So in a previous video you used what I guess was a slurry of clay to attach the handles. Just curious as I’m new to pottery and want to make sure the handle connections don’t break or crack

You can buy ready made glazes (wet), dry mix glazes, which you can the mix with water to the required gravity, or the various ingredients and mix them yourself. If you are starting, and you have a kiln (and you know at which temperature you can fire it) you can buy glazes and clay from Turkey - it’s the closes and cheapest place for the Middle East

These look amazing my favourite is the carved one 😊 I'm having a hard time selling pottery on Instagram and can't afford websites like Etsy, any advice?
@rondacorkhill16543 жыл бұрын
I'm not selling yet but I would suggest going the clay buddies on facebook and posting pictures of your work there. There's also the option of sending some of your pieces to other channels you watch to get it aired. Most channels, especially homesteaders, will show what they get in the mail.
