This vehicle-specific, multi-purpose base roof rack fits the specified vehicle with a bare roof. The system includes two Thule WingBar Evo load bars, four Thule Evo Clamp feet, and a Thule Evo fit kit.
Each component is predetermined, tested, and approved by Thule for the specified vehicle.
Locks are recommended and available separately in match sets.
The Thule WingBar Evo's internal structure creates an exceptionally strong load bar. Advanced aerodynamic design minimizes wind noise and drag. The upper T-track interface allows smooth installation and removal of compatible accessories. Thule fit engineers have predetermined the optimum bar length for this vehicle.
The Thule Evo Clamp is specifically designed for vehicles with a bare roof, the design features tool-free assembly and installs onto the vehicle securely with the included torque limiter tool.
The Thule EVO Clamp Fit Kit is engineered specifically for this vehicle with a bare roof. Custom shaped rubber pads rest directly on the roof at assigned locations and rubberized steel brackets grip to the vehicle's door frame.
The simplified three-part instructions are clearly illustrated to ensure confident assembly and installation of the roof rack.

Do you know if the thule fastride and topride are both strong enough for mtbs? Both have a stated max weight of 15kg which for the average mtb is only just under by approx 3kg

Great video, gave me the confidence install my roof bars. Initially, the feet didn't seem to fit when set to the width in the instructions. Paul's insight on loosening the ratchet was very helpful but I still had to adjust the distance between the feet a little.

Great video! Thanks for the full and detailed explanation. We just installed our Thule Clamps + Wingbar on our Golf Mk VII but had issues with the wideness. We had to shift the given distances between the two clamps by a few millimeters so that we could put it on. Did you run into similar issues? Thanks for your help and greetings from germany :)

Hello. It is possible, the correct method would to trim equal amounts from both ends to maintain the even curvature. The cut would need to be very precise for the end cap to press on flush and a special rectangular punch out would need to be added for the endcap tap to engage. For those who prefer the shortest bar possible, consider the Thule Edge Clamp system which uses flush ended feet that telescopically match the vehicle width perfectly. Thanks!

Hello. The BMW 3 Series (F30) 2012-2018 (North America) has a listing for fixed point connections, no bare roof fit using the Evo Clamp. Hello. Yes, a foot pack can be reconfigured for another vehicle base on the results of the fit guide. The rubber bases can be pealed off the foot bases and the metal brackets can be removed by pushing upward into the foot, then rotating inward, and then pulling down.

Hello. The intrusion of the door frame bracket is minimal and generally only deforms the outer wind gasket slightly and has no impact on the other inner water gaskets. Thanks for asking!

When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...

The Thule 599 Upride was designed to work on all of Thule's and almost every brand's cross bars. You can either attach the Upride using the T-Bolts (comes in box) and sliding them into the bar's top channel. Or you can go "Old" School" and use the brackets and bolts to wrap the Upride around those crossbars. Yes, there will be a slight curve to the bar. As long as the curve is identical on the bars, you are good to go! If one bar is more curved than the other, however, reach out to us or the retailer you purchased from to assist.
