The maze game is actually a recreation of the game “snail maze”, which was a simple game that was built into the Sega Master System that you could play by starting the console up without a game inserted and entering a button combination on the joypad. Only difference is that you’re playing as Big the Cat instead of a little snail.

I'm trying to understand how the hell is the mach speed stages worst in 06. The level design isn't as frustrating as worst cave, and at the very least the controls were consistent, while in Sonic Wolrd (like you said) they would completely glitch out and make the game unplayable. Did you actually play 06? Or did you meant that as a joke, since everyone exaggerate 06 as the worst game ever.
