Yep, it's Avengers tower. I think they were sent to break The Sentry out, and the movie will probably be about establishing The Sentry are a villain or a hero. These characters fit best into the political/spy genre within the MCU so I expect it will cross over with "Brave New World".

Most folk are in agreement that is what the asterisk is about. All throughout the movie they'll probably be referring to themselves as the Dark Avengers, and not until towards the end will they take on the title of the thunderbolts instead.

Im not gonna spoil anything unlike the rest of the comment section... Just a brief explanation of the Thunderbolts origins.... With the Avengers and Fantastic four presumed dead trapped in another universe. Zemo hatched a plan to pose as a new superhero team. (It was actually an interesting concept they first appeared in a Hulk comic taking down the Hulk) not a single reader knew who they were until it was revealed at the end of Thunderbolts issue #1 they they were all former villains. Eventually it was revealed what Zemo's true ulterior motives (i mever actually got to that part) but the rest of the team decided to turn a new leaf and actually become real heroes. Eventually Hawkeye became their new leader. After that the team went on roster changes where groups just used the name for their own teams. *Luke Cage had a version of the team about reforming villains *Thunderbolt Ross/Red Hulk had a version of the team consisting of antiheroes and assassins like Deadpool, Elektra and Punisher

A few things to say about this movie, now that this trailer is out, based on what we’ve seen so far: - Hoping this movie’s Rated R (as was rumored since last December), even in the wake of the $1.3B success of Deadpool & Wolverine, or hard PG-13 to do characters like Ghost or Sentry (ESPECIALLY when he becomes The Void) justice. - This is the same 3.5-minute trailer from Comic-Con (NOT D23 because it wasn’t shown there), but with some differences, mainly we don’t see Alexei belt out “ENOUGH TALK,” we don’t see Alexei’s speech in the car at the end where he cheers up the team, and we don’t see Yelena jumping off the Merdeka 118 tower, which was filmed in Malaysia and is practical, per Florence Pugh. - Also it looks like Val is indeed the owner of Avengers Tower, which means we’ll finally get the “who owned Avengers Tower” question answered. - And out of all the characters on the team, I’m curious to see how Ghost fits in on the team, given the team is all characters from Black Widow or Captain America fare, except Ghost because she’s a villain from Ant-Man and the Wasp, an Ant-Man movie villain, and that’s what fascinates me the most about her inclusion in the movie. - Also, I wonder if the Thunderbolts* title has an asterisk there because the team will become The Secret Avengers at the end of the movie, whereas Sam Wilson will form the New Avengers at the end of Captain America: Brave New World (since he won’t wanna follow Ross’s idea to have a government-sponsored team of Avengers) and we’ll see them again (alongside the Fantastic 4 and hopefully Deadpool) in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

This is going to be another tepid dud of a Marvel film. All team-up films that are not Avengers or GotG have FLOPPED at the box office (Eternals, Marvels, etc). What's most concerning to me is that we have a mix of characters we know very well (Bucky, Yelena, John) with characters who have only had one film up to now (Taskmaster, Ghost, etc). Probably no one will get any kind of significant character-building, and it will be another ineffectual dead-end story full of misplaced jokes. Bob/Sentry will be another ERJB who gets killed off immediately. Yawn. Keep scrolling.
