The theory going around is that the * in Thunderbolts* means the team will be revealed at the end to be the Dark Avengers and that Norman Osborn is the true mastermind behind everything. It's just that Sony still owns that character and Marvel is (as of this writing) making another deal with Sony for more MCU Spidey movies (and potentially merging the failed Sonyverse into it) which will include a MCU exclusive Norman Osborn (who is also going to be Peter's mentor in the very MCU inspired animated series, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man)

Bob aka Sentry aka Void will be both a hero and a villain as Sentry is definitely a hero however Void is a villain through and through as the dark side of Sentry just wants to kill and destroy everything and everyone hence the reason why Bob gives himself amnesia as he believes if he doesn't remember being the Sentry and having powers then Void doesn't come out to wreak havoc.

If they choose to go the path of him always have been a part of the mcu, I'm sure they will show flashbacks of major past fights and adding him in. Disney can update all of the movies on Disnry+ to have him in those scenes simultaneously with the theater run. That would be one hell of a pr stunt

If theyre willing to treat what was supposed to be the main villain of their saga as a joke in an antman movie, and turn adam warlock into a big dumb baby, sentry will prob just make a bunch of jokes about how hes mentally unstable, kill off a few extras while making even more jokes, but then stand no chance against the thunderbolts because the plot found a way to make him weaker.

It is possible that Bob could connect with the backstory of Isaiah Bradley since it is a movie with super soldiers. Mind control is a big theme in this movie as well as the upcoming Captain America 4 movie. Connection in which involves the evolution of the super serum used in Steve Rodgers, Isaiah Bradley, Bob and even Bucky.
