I had a thunderheader on my 2005 Electra Glide which I had modified a lot like a street glide which came out in 2006 . I had a 95” bore kit with screaming Eagle heads and a S&S gear drive cam . A dynojet tuner and the thunderheader pipe really brought it to life.

Hi Matt. The Thunderheader sound is the best I think. Will it fit all new softails? I'm thinking specifically the lowrider. Lowrider, stage 2 with thunderheader will be my choice. With a few other add-ons to the bike. Windshield, bags, tall sissy bar with rack. In blue. Thats my bike I'm working towards. I'm still POed about the heritage so decided on lowrider. You wouldn't be forcing any more air or fuel into the system. Just making it easier to get rid of the exhaust. I wouldn't think you'd have to change the tune.

Mutasim M I had a thunderheader on my 2016 Street Glide. In my opinion the best sounding 2 into 1 out there. The Twin Cam with the thunderheader is louder than on a m8 motor. Now if you do say cams on an m8 it will make it louder than if you just put that exhaust on a stock m8. I’m currently running a D&D fatcat on another 2016 Street Glide with the perforated baffle. Very loud and performs great.

OutOnTwo M8 came out in 2017 on the touring bikes only if it wasn’t a touring bike then it still came with the Twin Cam. Then in 2018 I believe all of the Big Twins came with the M8. I pretty sure that’s the way it went. I bought a new 2016 Ultra Limited (vivid black) two weeks before the 2017’s came out and I had been in the dealership several times in 2017. I try to stay out of places like Harley-Davidson & Camera and Gun stores$ Lol

Removing catalytic converter can void warranty and non HD tuner definitely voids warranty.

Matt, has your dealership ran into any issues with the MoCo voiding warranties on these new M8's by adding anything other then OEM parts for example headpipes, tuners, cams, etc.? It would be great if you could do a video on this subject. There are rumors going around that the MoCo sometimes requires dealerships to send pictures of the headpipe on the bike for any warranty claims. I would like to add a different headpipe setup along with a Dyno Jet Power vision on my 17 FLHTK but do not want to risk the factory warranty. Thanks in advance.

Take it for what it's worth, but the guy that sold me my bike (at another dealership) told me that they didn't honor the warranty on one guy's bike when they broke it down and found that he had after market cams (non Harley) in his build. That must of have hurt like hell.

It seems like a person gets a different story from every dealership. The dealership local to me said they would never flag a bike for aftermarket parts when it comes to warranty issues. That would have been a tough pill to swallow for the guy who had his warranty voided. OUCH!

Watch my warranty video it will explain a lot. After market cams will void a warranty on your engine 100% of the time. Exhaust header pipes will void it in some instances (it depends on what fails). Mufflers will almost never void any warranty.

The Thunderheader exhaust is great, but I do not like S-bend on the rear headpipe. Looks like it will get hot as hell, and that bend is awful close to your inner thigh. Otherwise a nice setup. Just watched your video taking out for a roll.

Nah man. I have a 2018 Street Glide Special with a Thunder header... IT IS SOFT! I was looking to go in another direction with exhaust but my mechanic said stick with Thunder header, cant go wrong. Well... Sounds like a bitch. Is it the 4 valves per cylinder? This thing has no throat. A 2k waste of money on thunderheader. Now I gotta get cams to get some beef out of it. Not with a cam. Neither did the Twin Cam. It's called EPA regulations. Throw in a $400 cam (like the Woods 222) and a proper 2-into-1 exhaust and the M8 sounds better and outperforms any Stage 4 TC or Evo.
