Charmanders origin story still brings a tear to my eyes 28 years later😥 how he was afraid to never show weakness because of his trauma which is why he was so dis obedient 😔 and even in the A.U movie "I Choose you" where Charmander runs back to hug his trainer and the guy just kicks him into the mud broke my heart 🙏 the look of betrayal on Charmanders face🥺

As being day 1 Pokemon fan I always wanted to see Ash's Bulbasaur and Squirtle getting evolved into final forms and Ash's achieving a major achievement with his original Kanto Team... I know they gave us Orange Island Championship and Battle Frontier but still they were kinda spin-off thingies... I mean he could win a region championship or something with them.

In Pokémon the Movie 20: I Choose You, Ho-Oh dropped the Rainbow Wing and chose Ash to be “The Rainbow Hero” after Pikachu electrocuted the Spearow. He also battles Ho-Oh off screen at the end but it doesn’t say if he won or not. Personally I think he won because he and Pikachu were smiling during their Nurse Joy visit.
