I just watched the movie "Earnest Green". The first black male student graduated from this Central High School in 1958. He is still alive at age 81. There're nine black students at that time to get into that high school, but with a rough beginning for several months. At that time, it was all White students. Now Black is about 53%, White 30%, Asian 9%, Hispanic 7%. This school is built in 1927 with $1.5 million dollar private donation. Statues of four figures over the front entrance represent ambition, personality, opportunity, and preparation. The school is on 1500 Little Rock Nine Way, Little Rock, AR. Why named Nine Way? It was nine black students entered the school under integration in 1957.

I hope this lady architect considered her design to resemble the old architect, not design as a new modern looking buildings. I love this high school front building. It looks mighty huge and powerful building.

Don't Forget What Made Central's History. Little Rock's Nine; Has Central Become Sweeter. This Wasn't Affirmative Action Admission, For Some Reason The Education Of The Former American Slaves Was Never Wanted By Former Slave Owner; At One Time It Was Against The Law To Teach A Slave To Read Or Write. Black Teacher, Would Teach Some Black To Read And Write If You Were Other Teachers Or Black Preacher Children. Yes, Well To Do Blacks Discriminated Against Poorer Blacks. But You Can't Stop Jesus. He Will Provide.
