I work... in Retail at a well known Company where people are famous for couponing: Between looking up their discount info... The multiple 2-3 items per transaction... 19 coupons per.. complaining about 2bux that I missed and having to charge .30 cents.. cause ya saved 45BUX out of a 50BUX purchase... it makes a person crazy.

I've been saying something similar to exactly what you said for at least that long, and definitely after I saw the movie, which was supposed to be satire, intended to be a spoof, not a documentary of the decline of the human race. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it's that more people want to watch the dumbing down crap of reality TV. Much easier to be drooling over the mindless, so called entertainment, than anything that would actully require use of critical thinking skills. And then people wondering why our country is in such bad shape... ???... Well... It's this. Dog eat dog mentality. Not caring about helping others or the less fortunate. Too Easy to get angry at them and scream "get a job" than to take a moment to listen or have empathy for someone else. I'm not saying everything should be freely given, or not that personal responsibility should matter, because it does. But nobody is perfect, and if you don't know what is available or what to ask for or what you should be learning, then how are you expected to know better? The campaign to get the middle class pissed off at the lower, instead of the crooks, started over 40 years ago and now it's perfectly part of the American culture and way of life. Dumbed down and pissed off fighting against each other and they are sitting back laughing all the way to the bank. It's going to get far worse, and no hope of getting better unless people realize that they have been played.

Which is a dual edged sword, as within the rioting mob... 1 individual was a CEO, others were previous elected officials, or had run for office, this de-evolution into anarchy of those brainwashed into a frenzy were no longer "Good Men." --- and, also those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, those who do not learn from history CORRECTLY are just doomed. - 2019, 2020, and so far 2021 stupid people who didn't learn from history of 1917, 1918, 1919, how a global pandemic killed millions... that stupid selfish people currently behaving as they did back then. Only this time it's worse. The Aztecs, The Romans The Egyptians... all went the way of the dodo.. and our current civilization is on that fast track to being the End. Unless something drastic changes... for the better.

How about going to a rock concert and being on those massive lines for merchandise, and people who are right in front of the damned T-shirts and other items for sale are like, "Uhhh. What do I want?" Oh, and they ask the poor gal or guy at the counter to BRING SEVERAL DIFFERENT SIZES of the SAME SHIRT to see what will fit, as if they are in a department store's fitting room!!! UGH.

This just happened to me yesterday, and ticked me off...this guy stuck 260.00 in 20s in the instant ticket lottery machine..after he got his tickets,I put my 2.00 in and got a ticket. I then realized I forgot bread, got that,ended up in line behind the lottery guy..he got about 50 bucks in junk food and paid with food stamps..but yet he had 250.00 to gamble away on lottery.
