I love the use of the bluebird back. It’s different than what you normally do. The triple spiral looked great but I think it got away from you. The Gildan shirts really look great after being dyed. I think my favorite part is the green that showed up when the colors mixed. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve wanted to try stained glass. It looks so difficult and so many tools are needed. Those Tiffany lamp designs are AMAZING!!!! My partner makes jewelry. That takes up a huge spot in the garage. My tie dye takes up half of the sun porch. I started during the pandemic too. I love making tie dye. I’m obsessed. I’ve tried other hobbies and none of them have been so fulfilling as tie dye. Gorgeous spiral!! I don’t tap my work but when I’m done I press the pleats to my dye surface to smooth them flat. I’m not sure if that’s the same thing. I have noticed Carl taps while he’s talking. He’s even mentioned it before. He says he does it to work the dye in. I haven’t noticed you doing it though. 😂 I love the bluebird back it’s a beautiful change to the black. Oh really!?!? I love the way black creates contrast with the vibrant colors. We met over my brothers tribute tutorial, that was a black back. I guess there is something for everyone though. That is what I think of as Classic Tie Dye. Vibrant and colorful. I was interested in how Bluebird would work out. It has a habit of just overwhelming everything else. This is a beautiful shirt. After fighting with my large piece of fabric and two rounds of ice on my ice dye, it is finally something I like. It is really weird how some of it separated with the ice dye. The Eggplant gives you the dark blue black but also give you purples and some beige type undertones (it has to be the Eggplant because the only other colors I used where Indigo and Deep Purple and I don't think it came from them)...next stop...blocking and squaring...the the epic man vs sewing machine for the quilting...lol. Guess that meas I gotta clear off the dining room table (for the sewing part...the other I do on the floor...table isn't big enough)

This is wonderful. I think this is the best use of bluebird I’ve see yet! You’re right about the Gildan shirts. They feel stiff but are the best when it comes to the dyeing process. I like the comfort of the Walmart shirts and they are so easy to get, but I’m with you, they feel a little used even when they’re brand new. Thanks for sharing. ✌🏻

Bluebird is beautiful! I love it a lot, just know it is extremely powerful. A little goes a long way! You’ll find out. I don’t think I have tried Bella + Canvas. I’ve heard they are nice. I’ve tried Port & Company, they’re great and they have plus sizes which I like, because let’s face it, a lot of women aren’t a size small. I have hundreds of these Gildan shirts to work through before I have room to buy more. Thanks for the suggestion, Marisa, I really appreciate it. 😊❤️🌈

Breathtaking!!! Baby want. LOL Also I think the George brand puts poly in their stuff and lies about it, so we're dyeing 30% poly fibers!!!! (There's a Walmart by my house and George is microfiber, "breathable" etc)

Thank you!!! I think they are mostly cotton, but the soft style. I have some other Jiffy shirts that are soft style and they dye the same. They turn out great, but after doing 6 George shirts and then a Gildan… WOW! what a difference! I wish the Gildan shirts felt nicer. 😍❤️🌈

Hi 👋 , Martina, greetings from the USA. 😁 Yes, Bluebird #188 is from Dharma. My Bluebird is a beautiful bright primary blue. Currently all I use are Dharma products unless I specify otherwise. Are you able to get Dharma dyes in Germany? That’s awesome!! I’m glad you like this one! 🥰❤️🌈

great outcome! i just ordered some Na Alginate and Calsolene Oil, so it was helpful for me to see the thickened and unthickened dye on one shirt, thank you! Do you add any C. Oil to your fixer? I’ve seen it in your links but haven’t heard you say much about it. I was reluctant to use my indigo for a while, until i was doing a cool, blue hue Spider and tried it as a back…it is fantastic as a back for those colors and also as a “night sky.” I just love the bluebird and agree that it was a perfect complement here. Every time i pick up the Teal Blue (dharma)i test it on a rag and put it back. It just doesn’t look teal to me. Have you had any good results with it. Thank you for your videos. I like the way you help people understand your process.

It’s “teal blue” vs “teal green” I recently used it in 3 different applications and I’ll tell you it’s beautiful in the ice dye technique. ❤️🌈

Gildan take the dye well. They aren’t very soft though. I think the number is G200, something like that. I really like Port & Company for women’s shirts. They have a decent shape. I also hear Bella Canvas is good but I haven’t tried them. I love Kirkland tees from Costco. George from Walmart are nice and soft and lightweight but they feel a tad on the cheap side, but I enjoy wearing them personally. I hope this helps get you going in some direction. 😁❤️🌈

@@nv9594 I was going through my shirts and I thought of you. Gildan Hammer T”s are the best. The Softstyle are nice and light. The Ultra cotton is next. Then the Heavy cotton. Order a few of each and find which you prefer. For the basic everyday shirt I prefer the Ultra Cotton G200. ❤️🌈
