OG Dragonball is amazing and I’m glad I started watching back then before going into Z when I was a kid, also in Super Trunks and Mai successfully sealed Zamasu however clumsy Goku left the seal at Roshi’s and that’s why Zamasu got freed

The Evil Containment wave wouldnt killed anyone in Super. They have all improved and gotten stronger by a large margin. By their standards now the Evil Containment wave would just take alot of energy at this point not kill them

Fun fact: the reason you don’t see Chi Chi as much is because Toriyama gave her the “launch treatment” and ignored her. It wasn’t until the editor was pressuring Toriyama to make Goku and Bulma a couple, but Toriyama compromised and had chi chi fill that role instead since he felt Goku and Bulma wouldn’t work due do to him presenting them as having a brother/sister relationship.

The evil containment wave only kills you if you dont have the stamina to use it and the only reason Zamasu was able to break out is because Goku forgot the seal. 😁

If you looked up the Evil Containment Wave, it mentions the users stamina and endurance needing to be enough to survive. That is what they call lifeforce in the series aside from the user's power level. The increased power level a user has, the more endurance and stamina they have.

It's because Roshi's master wasn't strong enough to survive the wave in Super they're strong enough to combat universal threats and God's they don't succumb to it

When they used the mafuba in Super, they didn’t have the seal. But you right there was no effect on the user. But always wondered if it were due to the users power level.

They talked about the user's lifeforce when using the mafuba if i recall correctly. The more lifeforce a user has, the easier it was to survive. That's why Trunks in Super was able to survive because of his increased power, and same with Roshi being a bit stronger to use it multiple times in the ToP.

I wonder how anyone was even finding the water in the first place? Karin is something like 1,000 years old. Even then, how would he have found out about this water if it's at the other edge of the planet lol, or that it kills you. Anyone who died were all probably way older than Karin. Dragon Ball just forces you to raise questions that just have no answer lol. Gag manga/anime done properly

Just realized something cool, in the previous episode you said Goku drinking the Ultra Divine Water was key in him eventually unlocking super saiyan. In his speech to Frieza on Namek he says '' I am the light in the darkness '' and here he says he can clearly see the light in the darkness, even if coincidental that's insane!

That isn’t what he actually says. The Z dub is notorious for making characters not say what they actually say. The translation isn’t even the issue, they just tried to make Goku more like Superman so that American kids in the 90s would like it better. That’s why Kai has mostly different dialogue.

As someone who reads manga before watching anime. I’d say it’s a read. The anime in some shows do a better job but manga does release some lore that’s different than anime. If you want the lore than read the manga. If you want the action then anime Example, Manga- bibidi found Majin buu Anime- he created Buu Those are two distinct differences that the mind can play with

About the mafuba wave.. The reason in Super they didn't die is because the Z fighters were so much stronger

I think you guys have been duped by the dub version that you are watching. The evil containment wave only kills you if you don't have the stamina needed to perform it. It's extremely draining and will drain your life force if you're out of energy. It is later established in Super that you need more stamina the more powerful your opponent is, hence why Goku is drained and unable to go Blue after using it on Zamasu.

Goku never used the evil containment wave on Zamasu..... Trunks did

@MichaelP0418 In the anime, yes. In the Manga it is Goku who used the Evil Containment Wave on Zamasu. Zamasu escaped because Goku had gotten the wrong sealing tag on the container.

Yes Yu Yu Hakusho, the anime was first before dragon Ball z I'm not going to spoil her anything, making you a small footnote once you start watching it you going to start realizing some of the voice actors, if you like mystery suspense what a supernatural element that is one of the best animes in existence, and they have incredible intro incredible story arc just great and incredible storytelling for each character, you will not be disappointed😊

Definitely, since Kai dub is more faithful to the original source and fixed most problems the original Funimation dub had, and it wouldn't be as interesting to rewatch a reaction of the exact same show, which is the original DBZ, except if they watch it in Japanese
