I am very sad that I can't be in Vietnam now. Your videos make me feel very happy because I feel connected to Vietnam even though I'm stuck in Canada. I am learning a lot from you thank you.

I learned that it is it’s better to use đến when you are going to a place. For example “khi nào bạn đến Đà Lạt?” nghe hay hơn “khi nào bạn đi Đà Lạt”
@hoangphuong7254 жыл бұрын
Actually they are a bit different: -Khi nào bạn đến Đà Lạt: when will you arive, when will you get to Da Lat -Khi nào bạn đi Đà Lạt: when wil you go, when will you get on a car/bus to go
@tamanphannguyen53214 жыл бұрын
@@hoangphuong725 In Vietnamese, "đến" also means "go to somewhere", so Benjamin can use "đến" in the sentence "Khi nào bạn đến/đi Đà Lạt?" (When will you go to Da Lat?) and it sounds more like native-speaker.
@hoangphuong7254 жыл бұрын
Tâm Đan Phan Nguyễn some situations that “đến” means “ *go* to sw”. Ex: đến trường, đến văn phòng,... some specific places. “Đến” focus on the *destination* rather than the action *go* , so depending on the speaker they can use đi/đến/đi (đến). And how do I not sound like native-speaker when I’m 100% Vietnamese

Can anyone answer... When pronuncing a word with a dot under a letter .... the pronunciation stop exactly on the letter with the letter. Even there are letters after the letter with the dot. So what use would the letter be? Eg bąn ... dot is on the letter a.. as such it is pronunced as ba.... and not ban So too is the words ...tąm biet.... the m is nit being pronunced

Good observation! it is true that we tend to "swallow" the final consonant in most words. Like the word "bạn", imagine that you only need to pronounce the "n" sound halfway and then stop!

„được nghỉ học lâu quá nên em quyet dinh về quê với bố mẹ“ - I understand the phrase, but I can't think of a good context. As I could be free from school for long (because of the pandemic or vacations) I decided to go back to homeplace with my parents? Is it going with the parents or reuniting them?
@thanhlenguyentran21313 жыл бұрын
you made an excellent question dude, i cant imagine that a foreigner could make a question like this, most of the time when you say doing sth "với" someone it means doing sth together with someone, but in this very specific case "về quê với bố mẹ" all the phrase could also mean to come back to one's homeplace and unite with parents, to say "come back to one's homeplace together with their parents" i would say "về quê cùng/cùng với bố mẹ" to make it no longer ambiguous, in Vietnamese we also say "đoàn tụ(unite) với ông bà(ancesters)" as an euphemism for to die

Vjaĉesláv Ivanov oh I'm sorry I didn't notice the "again" part. I think you can have said, " Anh muốn đi Việt Nam lại". Lại mean you did something and do again. You can say " anh muốn đi VN nữa" or " anh muốn đi VN một lần nữa". The last one sounds most natural even though it literally means " one more time".

Xin chào. “Ra đường / Đi ra đường” means "go out to the street"? It doesn't mean "go / get out of the street"? So, "Go out of the street.", Get out of the street." is “Ra khỏi đường.” or “Đi ra khỏi đường.”?
