The "Legion Glow" btw is called an "Inverted Hull". It comes from having an inside out model that is slightly bigger than the original model, which gives that SUPER sharp outline. This is also used in anime games for ink outlines.

@@Zectifin Yeah, many cel shading projects use the Inverted Hull method. You can find more information if you check out the GDC talk from Arc System Works on how they get their Cell shading to work. Its really interesting (sorry for the long lectures, Im a game artist myself)

All-in-all, I am really happy with the armor sets, especially the more casual ones. Loving the Emerald, & Red, Dragonflight colorways. One option I'd love to see added with helms, is when we have a faceplate with a really nice top crest/piece, to be able to choose to have the faceplate toggled off/on would be wonderful. Of course, I am still awaiting the day when we can have our chosen hairstyles show whilst wearing a hat/helm. Looking forward to collecting all this new transmog!

For those of you who are interested in the PvP sets but normally don't PvP, the Solo Shuffle will have a rated version, which in my opinion will be a far less stressful version of rated arenas. You only have to get to 1800 to have the full set unlocked, if they go with the Shadowlands model.

I'm really excited by how many high-res, often 3D, simple and realistic looking pieces there are! Especially in the questing/dungeon/profession sets but even in the raid gear, theres a lot less wild patterning and matching across the whole set that makes a lot of older gear look like themed pajamas to me. Thanks for the great video, I can't wait to get my hands on these :D

Out of all of the plate sets presented the leveling gear is the one I would use for transmog the most I think. There are these small details on the chest armor that just sells it for me. Like the quilted doublett under the hauberk. It's the more 'historical medieval' type of armor we've got since vanilla.

I was going through 1H swords for a transmog the other day and almost all of the classic swords were hitting the right note, the only problem being how dated they look, I really hope there's a return to more grounded and historical weapon designs to accompany the new Knight leveling gear (perfection) in the vein of kite/round shields, longswords without crazy designs etc. as that seems to be implied with the appearance of this armor.

A lot of these look good, especially the tier sets. I expect to see more 3D pieces on armor now. Whenever they're aren't any on gloves, chest, pants or boots, it's just disappointing. Don't need a lot, but some to help break up the silhouette a bit goes a long way. It also helps on races that are generally long/tall and thin, or just different from the male human form they design around initially. The cloth helm at 38:00 just look terrible, particularly on races that hunch over. It's unfortunate that after so long, races like Undead and Tauren still dont get helms that look good on them.

The "Legion Glow" is actually the "Cataclysm Glow". That's when Blizzard started to use that technic a lot to indicate energy/heat. Look at Firelands creatures/armors/weapons.

Concerning the shaman chest piece and tabard. Currently the Paladin set from sepulcher of the first ones has a cloak that goes over your shoulders and it Does cover your tabard.

Technically what you call "Legion Glow" actually began in Cataclysm with Zoid's Firelit Greatsword which dropped from lord Ryolith in Firelands.

Legion glow - I think first time they used this was in Firelands (the gatekeeper demon boss) - some weapons from firelands also had those linings - No idea why, but it looks very satisfying

So I fully admit I'm not that far in the video yet but kinda surprised they looked at the Glad color scheme but not the normal PvP which I love. The darker purple really looks great specially on the Priest set... if they did later I'm not there yet and apologize :P EDIT- Also there is Legion Glow on some of the SL's stuff at least. The new Rogue SotFO's set has it along the hood at least as an example(on my rogue right now only reason why I noticed :P)

I think there's a reason the LFR look better than the normal. The subscriber base who raid will generally go much farther than normal. LFR might possibly be the only shot the casual player will get at a cool looking live gear piece.
