There's such a fine line between a toothless attack, based on cross-and-pray football that leaves the backline exposed, and TT's devastating transitional play. They're essentially the same formation/strategy yet somehow Tuchel download the critical nuances into his player's heads that allows them to play a bit more quickly and with greater cohesion. I guess that "cutting-edge" that separates good players from great players holds true for coaches as well. TT has the sauce!

Tuchel on the other hand has a more fluid situational attacks with clever movement and and quick play. he attacks through the middle, wings through balls and counter. struggled with the finishing last year but this year i don't think he will be having such a problem. Also Chelsea's depth is probably the strongest in the league now.

Pedro declined so much in Conte's second season and Willian playing out wide slowing down all their attack. Lampards Chelsea was judged by the normal circumstances of a normal season. Lampard is known for pragmatism. He was clear in playing to develop the team for the longer term so didn't want to stop them mastering that more intense attacking style for short term gains. I have not seen that Scotland top in an eternity. It was so weird looking, but i always wanted one, never got one. I did get the tartan one though ^^ nice video also ^^

When I first saw the rare bird that is JJ Bull, I was confused. This man is clearly not built to be in front of the camera. However, I now love the awkward style of JJ, he is brilliant at analysis, and quite charismatic.

The sentence that Chelsea always seem to have one extra player is reminiscent of the Conte title run for Chelsea.

As a Chelsea I want my team to every match, but I think a modern day Drogba can beat our team. Our defense plan relies on not allowing teams to attack is through centre, we prefer them to go down the flank. But if the opposition can cross well and also have a dominating striker who can score from crosses, we would be in trouble.

one fault that i found against liverpool was that chelsea cannot beat a well organised, intense press. They dont have the intricate press beating patterns of play like man city or maybe sarri's napoli. Against liverpool in the first half, chelsea really struggled to build from the back. Chelsea rely heavily on mount and havertz being 2 on 1, standing either side of the opposition's DM. liverpool pressed man to man with their front 3 pressing Chelsea's back 3, henderson and elliot on jorginho and kante and the 2 full backs pressing high on james and alonso. however even though mount and havertz were 2 on 1 against fabinho, the intense press from liverpool meant they struggled to get a forward pass into them. twice in the first chelsea managed to beat the press and get the ball into havertz and mount. the first time, fabinho did well and fouled havertz, the second time was when mount did that wonderful first time take cruyff turn, matip also had to foul him. chelsea like verticality in attack, if you press high and squeeze the space between their defenders and leading striker, thats less space for mount and havertz to operate. thats how they can be beat. easier said than done though

Chelsea can press really well. Last season they did the same against city. They only relaxed for Liverpool
@vuyani67293 жыл бұрын
@@isaacbentum6523 I did not say that Chelsea cannot press well, I was saying they struggled when pressed
@ronyjomon99383 жыл бұрын
I had this feelings too.. But the problem is if the opposition fails to pressure or close down quickly or if chelsea finds a way out, they will be in a big trouble..
@vuyani67293 жыл бұрын
@@ronyjomon9938 I agree, but Chelsea should be okay against most teams, I don’t many teams press with the same intelligence and intensity as Liverpool

@@vuyani6729 it's due to the start of season I think, Chelsea did show excellent press reistance in UCL final.

Chelsea doesn't really have extra ordinary talented individual footballers. But luckily, it's a team game and Chelsea is one extra ordinary TEAM. Easily the best club currently. If you disagree, you should watch some individual sport.
