I'm a retired PGA club pro. I use this shaft in Driver, 3 wood and two hybrids. Just as you said. I basically eliminated the left hook and hit it strait to mild fade. Love this shaft. As you said with timing. When I don't play much then it becomes difficult to hit. I love the tip stiffness, but I load the shaft a bunch but only swing 100mph or slightly more now as a senior. Great fade shaft. I can't hit a draw with my driver. I went to the r flex in my 3 wood and hybrids. I can play a nice draw if I want. S flex in the driver.. never want to miss it left. Great video. It's a love or hate shaft

My miss is hard left. Was gifted the tensei orange pro X, so I gamed it last 6-7 rounds. No doubt my snap hooks have decreased dramatically, much straighter and consistent. Miss tends to be a baby fade instead of the hook. Makes sense after this video!!!! Great stuff.

Thank you for this, I just was fit into a Ping G425, with the Tensei Orange. Coming from a Ping G400 and Hzrdous Yellow. Seemed to reduce my dispersion by about 5-6 yds compared to my previous driver. Both playing pretty long 290-325 avg. at a 9 hcp.

Tell Matt, I'm not selling him the shaft. He was hitting it long, but so am I. Thanks for the fit Ian. Glad it worked out for the video. One thing I'll add. I'm gaming an M3, 8.5 with that exact Tensei Orange. My clubhead speed was about 114-115mph during my fitting. If the body is cold and I can't get the swing speed to 112mph, it's hard to get the shot shape consistent, and the launch to work because it spins so low. It's also really butt stiff. If budget allows, and you're on the low end of flexing the shaft, it may be worthwhile getting a shaft for cold weather days.

@@jayspot8894 greatly appreciate the reply! I am seriously considering this in a new pxg prototype head. Was also looking at the ventus blue velocore shaft. I'm a 1 handicap, but my strength is by far the short game. Would love to find a few more fairways each round and not surrender the 2-3 strokes for the punch outs. Thanks again

Love your insight....The Videos are great!! Interesting to find information on the idea that specific shafts help a golfer control their favorite shot shapes off the Tee......Generally, its been widely accepted that it's the Bowman, and not the bow that are responsible for 100% of poorly shaped shots...... Hopefully, the idea of golfer specific club fitting will make its way down to the benefit of the average golfer on a wide spread basis.......

You can also get someone knowledgeable to hot melt the head. Most drivers have a port where you can squeeze a glue like substance into and position that weight wherever you'd like. It also has the added benefit of dampening some of the sound which some people like. A lot of tour pro's are hot melting their woods, finding someone to do it is the difficult thing.

With other shafts that I have used, I would all of a sudden top a couple drives, my normal strike is usually a touch above the mid line. The RIP shaft made my odd topping of the ball go away for the most part. maybe once every 3 rounds... you mentioned during the vid that matt was getting high on the face. something to do with the stiffer kick point. would the orange shaft possibly keep me from topping the odd time?? Welcome to the channel Jason! Do you have access to a shop with a variety of shafts to try? This is the pro, much stiffer profile than the non-pro.

Question: since the shaft is counter-balanced, did you adjust the swing weight to compensate? That could add more "feel" to the swing, no?

Clayton Peirens no we never “fit” Matt to it, we just tested it with him. Adding more weight would definitely give him a better sense for the club head.
