Slightly different item but I saved up for months for a copy Gibson SG guitar (with KAY on the headstock 😂) , it was out of a catalogue, it was unplayable and I too learned a very valuable lesson back then, kids and their money are easily parted. It was a tenth of the price of a genuine Gibson SG but I stupidly convinced myself that it would be good.

28:18 How the HELL are you supposed to tell ninjas and robots apart? There's Cyrax, Sektor and Smoke for latter, three girls, with one having darker skin and two others - masked twins - and like... six ninja guys in MKT?! Scorp, SZ, Rain, Noob, Ermac, Human Smoke and Reptile. I'd get if they cut most and made main ones different shades of grey but RAIN IS HERE, and his stance is not Reptile's but same as all other male ninjas, so HOW?!

What's really sad about Indy 500 (24:34) is that this is the ONLY home version (well, aside from the R-Zone but I don't count that). I loved that game, but Sega cancelled a home version of it to work on Daytona USA Championship Edition. It's fine now as it runs well in emulation, but it's a bit bad that the only home version until computers became powerful enough to emulate the arcade was on this... thing.

you make the assumption that tiger lcd games were loved by kids. No, they were garbage. Kids would play with them 30-45 mins, that's it. What made them popular was their price. Parents and grandparents would buy them as presents -- sure, a kid would pick one out -- but after a day or so, that game was forgotten.

No offense to Tiger Electronics LLC, but a PDA plus/+ isn't not a multi purpose electronic video-game unit... alas, those Wrist videogame monstrosities and R-Zone were unnecessary pukes of garbage/trash. The Tiger Electronic video-games Game.com could have triumphed if only it was actually beta tested and increased it's ram/rom , draw distance, added colour sprites and enlarged the f-g display screen ... alas even the Pocket Pro goofed and crapped the bedsheets so to speak. Lights out, MK: Trilogy, Resident Evil 2, and Duke Nukem were stand out titles.

2060 Common era/Gregorian calendar year , these are antiques/classics... especially the Tiger 99x and VRT-X device's + IP's; 2020 Common era/Gregorian calendar year : ughhhh, why did we ever think of playing this experience in frustration yet kind of novelty... for it's time of actual release. Nintendo and Micro Games of North America released Game and Watch titles... everyone and their pets/animals loved those oddities yet now everyone/some group or people loathe/despise the Tiger Game/Multi. com unit + titles for being too f-g experimental or simply pathetic !? Logic does not always dictate future preference and or value, at least in my humble and meek opinion.

The worst thing is; that the artwork in the graphics are actually good, like really good; way better than the game boy, arguably even the Game Boy Color. Oh my, I had completely forgotten these 1:29. As a kid I wanted those after having seen them in some ads or catalogs. Never got any myself, but I believe my cousin had Gauntlet - nevertheless, I'm vaguely recalling that I wasn't too impressed for very long. Now I finally know they were Tiger handheld games. Still, to be honest the options in 1990's for portable gaming were quite limited, so to me it seems like this Tiger Game.com could've been a relatively decent system for the time, at least with just minor finishing tweaks here and there. Assuming being a kid. Assuming the device would've been released few years earlier. Assuming the display would've been clear to see and controls would've been responsible. (In fact I'm suspecting that both the display and controls would've functioned in a more acceptable fashion in 1990's with a brand new device. Sadly, many old electronic systems have deteriorated during the decades even if in mint condition on surface, and I'd be surprised had Tiger not resorted with some cost reduced resolutions regarding to quality. No personal experience though on this specific system; I didn't even know it existed. So thanks for this.)

I'm willing to defend the Tiger handhelds because I was a poor kid and it was the closest to fitting in that I could hope for. The Game.com I remember seeing the commercials for and thinking that there's no way I'd want that and to just hold out hope for getting a game console at a garage sale, which I did shortly after (an NES for $5 with games.)
@battra926 жыл бұрын
Oh I get that I wasn't alone it it. The NES was a bit of a luxury item but the Gameboy was everywhere. I honestly think most people I know had at least one in their family. On the bright side, I've got a nice game collection now made up of all those people selling their NES games back in the SNES/N64 era for pennies.

On the subject of casino games: my grandmother, a lifelong lover of gambling, had several games on her computer when I was a kid in which you could go into a virtual casino and play lots of different slot machines, each with their own theme, music, and fun little animations that popped up when you got three in a row or whatnot. Plus each had a minigame you could unlock if you got the right pictures in the right spots. Not a revolutionary game by any means, but I remember it being fun as hell.
