Polo shirt. Jeans. Hat doesn't fall off. 6 months removed from a fractured back. Explaining in great detail a wrestling move he has done in 20 years... Amazing.

Is anyone else impressed Juan's hat didn't fall off over the course of an 11-minute instructional video? I definitely want to try this move. Thank you, Juan and Coach Brian!

Juan hasn't wrestled in 20 years but shows movement like he's back in college again.

You know the man can wrestle when he shows a move several times without dropping a hat.

Ha! Juan is sandbagging hard. Polo shirt, jeans, hat stays on straight the entire time, coming off a serious back injury and performs this through-by instructional on a drop in…Juan is a weapons storehouse. Thank you coach Brian

Juan of a kind 😁 Sorry. Had to. Out of it for 20 years plus a spinal fracture. This is a very cool sequence. Thanl you!

Judo guy here. First off, mad respect to Juan. Not only is he tremendously skilled but he explains his techniques and mindset very clearly even after coming back from a long time away from the sport. Second, working in a different sport with a different set of rules that set up with the spine control would make for a nightmare o soto gari. Thank you for the excellent content!

Juan looked a little akward at the onset but when they started to demo, he just fucking zoned in and was in his complete element. The muscle memory is fascinating. Imagine being a gym bro and getting into an argument with Juan at a Target parking lot, next thing you know he's thrown-by your ass.

I love doing something very similar to this and dragging my opponent down into an arm triangle from there. This video got me thinking about how to clean up my technique a bit and make it more efficient, thanks Brian and Juan! :)

Why do you have to shoot for the takedown first to get a hold of the neck? Isn't the neck immediately available? So it's kind of a russian tie to throw-by?

Really great information. I do wish on a lot of these types of videos there would be more technique demonstration and less talk. I think we need to see it over and over several times then do some explaining. It's so segmented that you can't get the flow and its hard to pay attention with the constant rambling.

i never see russian or dagestani wrestlers wearing their flags as shorts, this is why they're the best, no 'usa usa usa' mentality
@TeachMeGrappling3 жыл бұрын
The shorts I'm wearing were the USA Grappling team shorts for the world championships in 2009. Russians definitely wear their country on their uniforms.
