I just recently bought my 9th tikka in 300wsm with a forest hunter stock. I'm just waiting for my mt bottom metal,recoil lug bolt stop,and magazine to arrive. What is your recommended torque for this this stock. Your products are top notch keep em coming 👌🏻

Good choice on the Forest! Not many of those are out there. I’m not at my computer, so I don’t want to give you wrong advice. There will be a torque spec card in your shipment. Also, watch the bottom metal install video. We go over torque specs for the walnut stocks in it. Cheers!

Looks awesome and I just recently bought the older style, wish I’d have known this was coming out so soon. Love your products, I’ve bought all the upgrades you have for my two Tikka’s. One thing I did notice on the bottom metal I just bought from you compared to the original Tikka plastic is the trigger guard. Yours is more squared and seems closer to the screw hole on the rear side. I have very large hands and fingers. when I installed the Tikka vertical grip on my new T3X, the trigger guard smacks the crap out of my middle finger. I want to keep your BM on it so I just put the standard grip back on. Is this something you guys might address on design in the future? (Possibly moving the rear part of the trigger guard a little more forward)

We’ve bent over backwards to try and help jmart but he won’t follow instructions. He’s taken to bashing us everywhere. We’ve even commented on his threads that we’re here to help and we want everyone to have an awesome experience with our products, but he ignores us and keeps complaining. Unfortunate…

@@mountaintacticalcompany I see, I think he had said something about a feeding issue? I don’t think I’ve seen anything else from him. I myself have had NO feeding issues with your bottom metal. Mater of fact I was gonna order another one. Love your products, they are the most precise and highest quality I’ve seen from any company making upgrades for Tikka’s.

I just answered this under your question on the recoil lug video. Check it out. When done correctly, it’s amazing. However, it is easy for someone who does not understand Tikka’s tolerances to really mess up your rifle. Cheers!

And what has happened to the trigger guard for the CTR version?
@mountaintacticalcompany3 ай бұрын
There hasn’t been much demand for it. We get requests, make a batch, then sit on them for years. It really hasn’t been worth it from a business perspective.

How about a color that matches a stainless barrel/action?
@mountaintacticalcompany3 ай бұрын
Impossible. We spent years chasing this. No matter what we did, the color didn’t match perfectly and we received complaints. There are thousands of Cerakote applicators who can match it for you. They do a better job than we do chasing all of Tikka’s variations.
@hbbishopjr3 ай бұрын
heck, I’d settle for just a satin aluminum color…..as long as it isn’t black.
@mountaintacticalcompany3 ай бұрын
We tried that and dudes complained so much we stopped. A Cerakote applicator can match it up nicely though. I was excited about offering raw anodized parts to more closely match the action, but it turned into a customer service nightmare.

Hi, I've been building AR's for quite some time, and now I'm gearing up to build a custom bolt action.... I'm thinking Pristine Action, diamond trigger, Manners stock and Bartlein barrel.... I understand the inletting for the action will vary between brands, but, it appears the same is true for bottom metal?? Does this Tikka bottom metal work with any action? Do I just need to let the stock fabricator know which bottom metal I'm getting??... or, are bottom metal inlets universal?
@P0rtScann3r3 ай бұрын
Tikka metal bottoms only with with Tikka and Tikka compatible stocks. Tikka CTR and T3x are not compatible with each other. If your action is a Remington 700 clone, there are several options you can select from.
@mountaintacticalcompany3 ай бұрын
Great question! Your build sounds awesome. The only change I would make is to use a Tikka action, but I’m probably way too biased, haha! The Pristine Action is a Remington clone and will need a Remington bottom metal. If you go Tikka, this one will work great for you.
@Solidbuilthomes3 ай бұрын
@@mountaintacticalcompany when people go with a Tikka action, do they always go with a Tikka barrel too, or do many people still choose a custom barrel with their Tikka action?
@mountaintacticalcompany3 ай бұрын
Tikka barrels are great if you can get the profile and cartridge you want. If not, most barrel manufacturers can turn a barrel for a Tikka shank and many even have pre-fits available.

The bottom metal I have is a couple years old and I have absolutely no complaints!! Is there a real reason you guys altered your new bottom metal?? The squared off section on the rear of the trigger guard looks like a weak point. You better have a talk with your engineer. Poor design.
@mountaintacticalcompany3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your business! I’m stoked you’re enjoying it. What’s poor about the rear box section? If your rifle is set up correctly, nothing touches it. I’m genuinely curious
