Why is the female host claiming 150 million users as big? When India banned Tiktok in 2020, India was the largest market for Tiktok with 200 million users. Americans today are quite fortunate as they have alternate platforms in Instagram Reels, KZbin Shorts and Snap already available whereas in 2020 Indians had to wait for these alternate platforms to rise up. Also Indias permanent ban on Tiktok happened in 2021 as Indian govt gave Tiktok time to address security concerns raised by India, which weren't satisfactory finally resulting in permanent ban.

According to the South China Morning Post, a Hong Kong newspaper, "In 2020, after a geopolitical dispute with China, India banned the app entirely, citing a law that allows the government to block websites and apps in the interest of the country’s “sovereignty and integrity.” It's really because of the clash in the Himalayas, the idea that some Indian app can take over plus Indians-Chinese dynamics. Tiktok wasn't the only Chinese app banned then, there were 400+ Chinese apps banned around the same time.
