Feels like I’m the only one who found this hack genuinely useful. This isn’t just a “just wash it” or “this is called washing situation”. That implies something like this was obvious to everyone and also that you could easily get the stain out with a sponge. But have you ever tried to do that? To a tough stain like this one? Literally stained into the plastic (is what it feels like). It’s so hard to get it out. This genuinely helped me and I hope it helped others who struggle with this issue too!

Oh, okay. So all you have to do is use 6 container's worth of dish detergent, waste most of a paper towel, spend 2× as long rinsing it out, and get it half as clean. Good job! The thing is still dirty. Just because you rinsed out the color (looks to be Chef Boyardee "tomato sauce" red) doesn't mean it's clean. If you've ever spent any amount of time properly cleaning reusable plastic containers (or anything at all) you'll know that rinsing water around it just spreads the grime around. This would work slightly better on ceramic or glass, but you would still need to actually wash it after having done this. Also I've never found a brand of paper towels that has the oil and grease wicking properties that this paper towel seems to be given credit for. This is pretty much in the category of 50% of the life hacks that have been brought to my attention over the last 4 or 5 years. The concept seems neat, but you haven't actually been given helpful advice. So it's pretty much what life hacks have become. But... news? This is not news. This is filler. There are so many newsworthy things going on in the world, why is this here? It's even been given the hashtag of news. Why? Come on, Now this. I know you can do better. You've become one of my favorite go-tos for quick blurbs of relevant news. Don't drop the ball like this.
