Sure, he can do it privately but his reach and impact will be limited and thus the number of people he can help will be much fewer. Posting online also has the added benefit of inspiring others to do the same as well. Critics like you are often shortsighted because you only ever want see the negatives. Even if a majority of these people post online to stroke their own ego, at least their actions benefit others as a result of it.

"We need more people like him." YOU my friend can be that helping person and there is so many ways to do so. Food, water, money, a piece of clothing, or just a few words of kindness. It's the motivation behind the act that matters and it can make such a huge difference to a broken soul. I often find that many people have great intentions but hesitate to help for some fear based reason. So I have a medical card for weed. And I feel like if I can get high I can donate that’s just my rule. If I can throw my money away to drink or smoke then I can give that money to somebody who actually needs it. $20 won’t make or break me. So that’s the rule I go by if your high you can donate😭.

Why not donate to families with sick kids who have genetic diseases and/or cancer? Why donate to grown as people who refuse to work? Let me tell you, even if they are disabled, there's still NO EXCUSE to be homeless. Disabled people are prioritized above even families with children when applying for section 8 and snap benefits. I have a sister who is a drug addict and chooses to be homeless, she applied for snap benefits and recieves up to $300 a month just because she refuses to work and uses addicted as an excuse. Not only that but disabled people, poor people, elderly, basically ANYONE who is struggling can apply for section 8 which is the governments PAYS for your rent. They also offer free mecial insurance and low income housing vouchers for those in need. I'm basically saying, there's no excuse to he homeless in the United States unless you're genuinely not trying.

@@enochia well, your 3/4 correct. I was an addict for 13 years. Always worked tho. When applying for those things, a lot of people get turned down immediately. We hear of the millions of people on assistance, but not the hundreds of thousands who are denied. About being homeless- it can happen in the blink of an eye. Lose a job one week, be homeless the next. It happens everyday. Bad timing. As far as These homeless working- me being a business owner, I’m not hiring them. They have no vehicle to work, I’m sure no where to wash, Shave, do laundry etc. obviously no one willing to help them until they are on their feet. So I’m sure it’s harder than you think for them to get a job that will actually support them. Not “minute man” or “temp service” then you have the other ones… addicts, alcoholics, beggars that don’t care and don’t want a better life. These are the people that live off of the government that ME AND YOU pay our taxes to. So please don’t tell people to just go apply for section 8 and food stamps. We pay for that.
