I couldn't figure out why my brand new Dewalt ( with the ? ) blade was chipping and breaking my tile . I tried adjusting the height , speed that I pushed the tile through etc. But that vibration continues to happen regardless.. I'm heading to HD now to get that King Diamond blade. Hopefully it solves my problem and I can finish my bathroom now. Thanks a million

Thanks so much man for sharing your knowledge its greatly appreciated as there’s little to NO resources out there on this topic. What would you recommend best for 7” blade to glass bottles?

The blades with cuts in them are made for thicker materials like stone. The cut is to clear material, if they were not there like a smooth tile blade you would be grinding across material already cut free. You would cut the lifespan of the blade exponentially.

Totally agree, the KD $40 blade from HD is better for me with perfect cuts in porcelian compared to the Dewalt XP4, Pearl Abrasive P4 ADM10PT Reactor, etc. Go figure!

cmetube... I was wondering the same thing about KD Diamond blades at Home depot and the number of negative reviews on the HD website i.e., wobble, chipping and short life span. Then again I also trust Pauls Workshop... so was not sure how to decipher the discrepancy. EDIT UPDATE: (4 hours later) - Here's the deal. Last week I purchased the Dewalt XP4 blade as shown in this video. Yes some reviews on the HD website also complained about chipping etc, but I figured how could I go wrong ... its a Dewalt and for $55 bucks it has to be the best. WRONG! It left small chips along the cut line of my porcelain tiles. So in looking for a solution I discovered this video. I really need to finish the job so I went to Home Depot and picked up a KD (KING DIAMOND) 10 in. Continuous Rim Diamond Blade. I didn't get any warm fuzzies when I read "Made In Taiwan"... but I purchased it anyway. To be fair the Dewalt blade says... Made in Indonesia! Long story short... the KD blade cuts like butter... no wobble, no chipping. Awesome! I can't say what the lifespan will be but so far it was worth every penny of the $39. Wish I would have seen this video first.

I don’t have a lot of experience but I used the DEWALT blade with the small cuts around it that came with the saw, it chipped the tiles. I bought the KD blade and it cuts good.

How do you like Diablo blades? Do you think there is a problem with your saw?
@Pauls-workshop5 жыл бұрын
My saw cuts perfect as long as I have a good blade on the saw. I love the diablo blades for cutting wood.

The KD is King Diamond. They are cheaper than the Rigid blades. That's very interesting because many of the Home Depot reviewers say the opposite. I wonder if those are legitimate reviews. I trust your experience. How do you like the 4.5 inch blades?
@Pauls-workshop5 жыл бұрын
I don't use the 4.5 inch blades often so I can't tell you my opinion on them until I get a good use out of one

I borrowed a tile saw from a neighbor who does tiling. The King Diamond blade on it worked really well for the 12 x 12 porcelain I had to cut. Nothing else to compare it to but I had no complaints.

You know a blade is excellent when you can use it till it only has 1/16” meat on it. All your blades look like they have plenty of it still.
